And you obviously missed the part when I said I visited her a week ago. I do know she's a girl. Also, why were we discussing tit punching? 5943

Tournament Archives / Re: Placeholder Bot Ban« on: June 24, 2011, 02:42:08 PM »I agree on reshaped chassis shouldn't be updated. But I believe if you want to move internals to make it more combat effective, then it's perfectly fine. I'm fine with this idea. I see minor updates as changes to the robot that do not significantly alter the way it functions. Swapping from irons to maces, for example, would be fine in my view. Adding wheels or changing the weapon system would be out of line, I reckon. On the subject of GF anf FOTEPX, if they don't actually have a proper entry for the tourney, then I think S_M should be allowed to enter in their place. He did win the spot in freeziez' next tourney, it's just that he forgot about it. And if he does have an entrant, then I don't think there's much we can do to stop him, really. 5945

I disagree, that would leave the extenders more exposed. I'd try and get Mini wheels on there, rather than Ants.

Ounce was definitely deserving of that particular award, though. Congratulations to everyone who won something, though, and I'll almost certainly be returning for the sequel. =D

I think 123 can still send, going by the front page. I sincerely hope he does, that this was crazy.

Most newcomers THINK this is good advice, however there are instances where rubbers are useful, especially if you have the weight for it. They give you a lower ground clearance, and thus better wedges, which is useful on this style of robot. =] And the weaponry looks a little bit slapdash for me, in all honesty. 5953

I think it's because popups have been firing forwards for so long, people assume that's the "True" version of a popup.

Regular Popups fire their weapons forwards from the back. True Popups fire their weapons upwards from under the front wedge, a bit more like a conventional flipper.

I think controversy is a bit strong. It's more of a fairly heated debate.
It's great that you want to help out with the community and the game, there's not really been enough newcomers with that sort of intention. Plus it eases the burden of everyone else a little bit. But you are still something of an unknown quantity, you've only been here a couple of months, if that. Achieving custom titles normally takes quite a bit longer than that. I think I can say with confidence that you'll have Tech Advisor by the end of the year, though. |
