Dammit, WHY ISN'T YOUR FORMER SHOWCASE ARCHIVED? >:E
Anyway, I don't get how you attached the spinners because I'm seeing extenders tilted 45 degrees. O_O

Here's my latest attempt at upgrading The Bear Jew: Same internal stats, but with medium VDMA instead of a Storm piston. I ditched the vertical trapper and now has 2 Cleppy tails and 2 30kg sledges. But this time, it either owns madly or throughly gets owned. As you can see from some of the battleshots above, its top is quite open to attack. And if any wedge flanks from the side, it's doomed but only a number of MWs can outwedge TBJ2 head-to-head. It's good to see that small wedges are being used again in DSL. XD [Edit] Oh yeah, Nary. You still haven't given me input from my updated team. :D

dont forgot flails are really havok prone, so why it might amp up your weaponry it increases your risk of loss, look at Scrap Daddy loosing in CC2 against Reier via double havok And look at Scrap Daddy winning in RAW. :P

I don't think so. If you have Blade Wave and remove the pistons, burst wedges, some batteries, excess skirts, and downgrade the Drive E-Teks to NPCFs and add flames, you'll probably shed 400kg in the process. :D

Liberator please! :D
Anyway, for the awards:
Best Presented - Having a hard time deciding whether I should pick Sir Robin the Brave or Black Bull, but I'm leaning towards Black Bull on this one.
Best Engineered - I would have chosen Raptor Knight, so Suicide get my vote.

@ Ounce - I just realized my wedges were decent, too. So our match basically depends on who has the better wedge. Let's just hope it's more of a R4 vs. Seism 13 rather than a Trojan Horse vs. SandStorm. XD
Anyway, it's always nice to see videos coming in regularly. Good job, Craaig. :D

Duck has a point, since claws have normals and can't gut-rip the opponent easily. But what happens when you angle them upwards a notch?

The only thing I find cheap in flails is their damage potential. They merely scrape along the opponent's components. I kinda feels like a hit from Iron Spaghetti is more painful than a hit from Haymaker. Their durability isn't cheap, but they're imbalanced due to having high damage while being durable at the same time.

Well, in theory that should protect the bot from HSes. But that HS flails wildly when in the air. :P
Hmmm... JB or Roboquad. I'm pretty sure I'll lose to either of them due to the wedges alone. XD

I was a car aficionado back then, and not much of a robot nut. I only started liking robots last year, when I was selected to become a member of the 2009 Philippine FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) team. I initially agreed just to escape from the wrath of homeworks, but after a while I became interested in the field. After a few hours of surfing the internet, searching for robot simulators, I stumbled across this game. I got a torrented version of it, and I've been playing it ever since. :P

Ohohoh, all of those matches were AI'ed (but its match against TAC was still scary :O). XD

A tweaked the skirt hinge and it's fully invertible now! XD Anyway, TBJ is still not performing to my standards, and I'm having a hard time rebuilding it. So here's the updated Paper Cut 4! Nothing inside was changed, but I downgraded the armor to 3mm plastic, and now has small wedges and tite skirts. It can cream almost all of the NAR AI MWs and most of the HWs. Now to built the last bot for the 2nd team... x_x

Problem is, not all collision boxes are perfect. A clear example would be the 6-Mag. It has spaces in the middle which could be used for motors or batteries. But its annoying mesh would not allow that. I personally use BFE only when the collision mesh is unnecessarily bulky but the attachment is still realistic. But this is just my opinion, though. If you don't want to BFE, then don't. :D

Hehehe. I still remember those good times where you just doodle around when the discussions get boring...
Anyway, you should try controlling your hand a bit more when drawing curves. Even simple car drawings look awesome if no squiggly lines are present. :D
And if you're daring enough, you can jump to practicing 3D drawing! XD

Whoa. You beat TWEWY. I was never able to KO that bot while not using a gut-ripper. :O
You know, you can attach the 30x80 DSL bar by BFE'ing the top MEs outside and attach the bar in the lab and BFE the MEs back in. It's allowed as long as the attachments stay realistic. :D

I love Metal Simulacra. It seems like some people still use the tribar's original attachment point. :D
As for Karnivore, I agree with JB on the wedge issue.

By not fully invertible I meant 'Cadet-scooting-around-while-inverted'. But yeah, I'm currently struggling to make a vertical trapper while making it fully invertible. I'll probably swap the 4 Overkills to beater bar arms or something like that. And the shell plate is attached to the piston. :D
