If the spikes are good enough, the wheels will have no problem with getting hit. Also, rotate the extenders to get the two spikes on each extender vertical, so that they will hit at the same time. Also, you can shrink the chassis a bit, and use the weight for something else.

two things:
1: you can put both pics in the same post
2: convert your picture to a jpeg file. the bmp file is what it is originally saved as, and it takes a while to load.
