while everyone is getting excited about GTMCS I made a beetle weight, and have found him delightfully charming and I don't know why

Plastic 3 armour, short piston, aluminium flipper, slim body motors, micro wheels one red battery
  he's stuck he's free

I liked him so much I gave him a little skin, kinda looks like arse though
tends to topple over with sharp turning that's the only issue I've found so far.

comments, advice, criticism?

Well excited for this, good luck to everyone

I decided to give a middleweight flipper another go

An actual skin!

Alu 3 armour
3x black batteries
medium wide piston
DSL wheels
aluminium plates and flipper
titanium wedges
40x100 polycarb sheet to protect the bottom

Not a fan of the wheels poking out or the yellow extenders connecting the flipper arms. Other than that, it's alright i guess. Needs a good skin.

This pretty much sums up the majority of my robots I think. The problem is I use MS paint when I skin purely because it's quick and easy. I should get a proper image editing programme but with working full time and other IRL things I just can't find the time to learn how to use a new programme really, which is a real shame because I find RA2 is something that you get more out if you put more in but I can't quite find the time.
I appreciate the advise as always!

that thing looks cool and deadly, keep up the good work. PS I am very partial to drum spinners at the moment

I always wanted to make an Eruption clone and after watching the UK vs RoW RW special I wanted to make a Weber clone.
So I made a kind of hybrid between the two.

alu 3 armour
regular NCP for drive, with hypno wheels
2x short pistons
3x black batteries
aluminium flipper extenders with titanium wedges

How did you get so interested in the 90s?

The 90s were awesome man! You got some Game Boys, Pearl Jam (well, famous anyways), Rwanda, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Flight 800 (TWA).

yes to the majority of these things!

I made another drum spinner, it started out as a Concussion copy but kind of found its own style along the way.

Alu 5 armour
Dual Perm 132 weapon motors
4x black batteries (they're stacked on top of each other)
I couldn't find away of making it invertable so I just let it flip itself back over, It's a bit of an unreliable system. Other than that reasonably happy with the result. And I've always wanted to put nightmare teeth on a drum.

I've never attempted a beetleweight before so I'd be up for making one for a comp

After putting about 6 hours work into this I finally came up with Spinna Killa 2. 5 and a half hours went out into making the scoop not being too heavy that it was able to self right OK. This started out as a kind fun design to deflect spinners but turned into headache so this was the best I could do and I'm done with this design. After finishing this I went to the pub for a well deserved drink!  Tita 3 i think, 797. KG or something I just don't care anymore

(Image removed from quote.) (Image removed from quote.) all the panels are Titanium(part from the obvious polycarbs) and some of the extenders are Aluminium

Rather nice, love the scoop style you've gone with something I'd like to use myself at some point. Bit boxing but I think that's fine. I think if you can blend the poly a bit better it'd look rather nice.

Keep it up man, doing great

Its definitely an idea that has a lot of potential, ie Behemoth, it just needs a better builder than what I am now to make it top notch, either way i'll put it on the bot exchange as basis

Sorry I have nothing constructive to say but damn that looks cool as sh*t, I can only aspire to that level of building.
Now seems a good time to say how much I enjoy going through your showcase, keep up the good work my man  :claping

Thank you, Im humbled.

There's a few glaring issues with it, mainly the poor wedge and once flipped it's pretty usless. I think with some tweaks I can make it competitive.

If you're looking to create something like this I recommend using an extenderbot chassis which I can send your way if you'd like. It's a bit intimidating at first, but once you laern it it becomes pretty simple.

Also it's rather funny as T-Minus, a MW, is bigger than this.
IRL can be a crazy world!
I appreciate any help with extender bots as that is an area I really struggle, as I'm not very creative minded I can't picture things in my head as how they work out in practice

While I ponder how best the give Lynx a little improvement I made a robot I've had an idea for a while.
The name says is all really
because f**k spinners! i ran out of room and weight to tidy up the back
pretty simple insides

Plastic 10 armour,2x medium pistons, doubled up medium colson wheels, steel sides with a titanium scoop, 4x slim bodies

It isn't hugely fast and doesn't through bots miles but it's durable which was the whole point

Thoughts?

those wheel guards are slick, does it need collision wheels if they are protected though?
I went for colsons purely because of their size. They're fairly large diameter wise but also very narrow so they would stay inside the bot rather than being exposed out the sides.

that is a good point, I really should use them more often. Either way I forgot to mention both the setups look awesome, good job
