Oh hey, this got approved. Cool!
Good to see there's already some support. I'll need to build a bot myself before I can move to signups, but I'll try to get that done soon.

I figured a flipper would take it, but I didn't figure it would be R01's. Conglaturation!

Dang, first lost. Oh well, I still have a very comfortable lead.

So, last year I ran a little tournament called Death-Defying Decemberween Demolition Derby. It was a Stock LW tournament with no gimmicks. I don't really want to do the same thing twice in a row, so I was thinking maybe this time around could be Retooled LW (since the official tournament takes care of IF LW). Would anyone join that? RULES: Retooled LW Standard building, cheatbot2 mode off Combat Arena - no hazards 3 minute matches Best of 1, double elimination Unlimited entrants I can do AI lines, or you can send your own Also, I will be releasing the tournament AI after the tournament, so there are more Retooled bots available BUILDING STUFF: No BFE or any of that kinda mess Rule of 7 break is allowed, other SergePatcher features are not No custom components (includes reskinned components) Bots must show controlled movement. SnSs are banned Bots must have at least 2 powered wheels I can reject any bot that I feel does not adhere to these rules My hastily thrown together entry is Power Station Steve: (will skin later) Signups end at the start of December 1th. SIGNUPS:-Thrackerzod -RedAce -Baconus_Yum -Conraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa -Guildenflame -F1Krazy -Badnik96 -Wen -Silverfish -090901-

A big thanks to everyone who participated and everyone who watched this tournament! I had a lot of fun making it, and I hope you enjoyed it as well.
As I have done with my last couple of tournaments, I'm going to give out some awards. No voting, since usually only two people vote anyway.
REALLY PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS:
BEST BUILDER WHO HAS ENTERED ALL OF MY TOURNAMENTS: RedAce, with Mr. Bones: Skeleton Warrior. After controversially not getting this award in Dynamic 2uos, he's earned it back this time around. MOST UNLUCKY: UberPyro, with Bonemerang. A first round loss to a weird rule interpretation, and a second round loss to Pizzaguy. If that's not unlucky, I need to buy a new dictionary. SONIC "GOTTA GO FAST" THE HEDGEHOG AWARD: Mr. Bones' Annoying Neighbor, built by Pizzaguy2020. With its 4-wheel Twinbird drive, this bot was sure to leave burnout marks across the arena floor. BEST BOT BUILT AT A 45 DEGREE ANGLE FOR NO APPARENT REASON: steve, built by 090901. 09's interesting design choice challenges the standards of society, and makes you question your own innermost self. BEST BOT WITH NO WEDGES: Mr. WEN kill your weapon., built by WenXiangLee. Wen dared to go wedgeless for this tournament, and it paid off for him, with his bot reaching the Winners' Semifinal before being knocked out. BEST BOT NAME: Mr. Bones' Wild Ride, built by Ben Purse. You can't improve on perfection, a fact Ben Purse demonstrated by boldly leaving his robot's name unchanged from the template chassis. MOST DEADLY Meat Locker, built by F1Krazy. Every match Meat Locker won, it did so by destroying its opponent, unlike most of the fights in this tournament, which were ended by OOTAs. Even more impressive, this is coming from a robot I initially thought would be horribly underweaponed! WORST USE OF FLAMETHROWERS: Bonechill, built by Thrackerzod. Bonechill has VS weapons designed to throw its opponents out of the arena. It also has flamethrowers, which work best when you can grab and hold your opponent in place. Why I put these together remains a mystery.
Welp, with that, the tournament's done. Let's end on a high note:

At least my bot's doing the best out of all the ones that got beaten.

Neat, my bot was like the Redshirt that gets sent in first to die, so you know how dangerous the situation is.
Winning strategy so far has been to turn the Clock over. Let's see how that plays out for the flippers later on.
WAAAAAAAAAAAA!

I bet one of the flipper bots will take it. Seems like the most efficient way to go about getting rid of the Clock. Here's hoping mine doesn't completely embarrass itself. (it probably will)

How ironic. Will there ever be another tourney like this? Maybe with 16?
I mean, I'd like to do another one next Halloween, but that's kinda a long time away, so plans could change. In the meantime, I'm sure to run some other tournaments with stupid gimmicks you could check out.

I do wish we got to hear more of the song. This should have been BO3.
There's always next year! Also, here's the final: Conglaturations, I'm planning to do a "Pizzaguy vs the world" bonus video at some point. If you have anything else you'd like to see, suggest it here! Merry Scaremas, everybody!

Also, is there anything Spooky Scary Skeletons hasn't been mashed up with?
Far as I can tell, no. I just wish these matches were longer so I could play more of the songs.

I'm actually doing pretty well after that initial loss.
Your bot's been surprising me. I thought for sure it was too underweaponed to achieve anything. Turns out those saws are pretty good if you're given an opportunity. Second match for today:

Was not expecting to beat Brain Power in round 7 since it didn't go after Troll Box. Donno how that worked out exactly. GG Badger.
Pretty lucky I was able to throw Geice out of the arena. My biggest fear going in was HSes, but I seem to be doing alright against them.
And again in Round 9. I guess Delta's got a shallow enough slope that HSes can't deal much damage. Also, Wen, if you could leave the match results screen up a bit longer that'd be great.
