Since it works perfectly well whenever I try it, I'm afraid not

I'm wondering if that enormous weapon rack meant it was too front-heavy, and it tilted forward, lifting the wheels off the ground. Though it should have done something when Final Flipper was shoving it around, really. It did look a little bit suspect, I reckon, are you sure it had an "invertible" line in the bidings?
Yep

You sent the AI!

Only for Rock You Like A Hurricane, you AI'ed Here I Am.
Well, it runs invertible the rest of the time, must have got stuck or something, nothing wrong with the AI

 :welcome

One of the most important things to learn is what weapons to use. Generally, only use razor tips, iron spikes, and maces, axe heads can also be good for ramming purposes, but nothing else. Good weapons to use for your hammer would be razor tips

Another important rule is the KISS principle (Keep It Simple, Stupid), it is generally easier just to focus on one weapon type for your bots, until you get better at building :D

DP

Would sellotape work as a hinge for the flipper? If not, what else could I use?
No, you will need to make a hinge

Anyway, it would be probably to try and make these an AW, I would seriously consider the benefits of it
 - You get to compete with them at proper events
 - You get free entry to proper events
 - It's more fun

Do not violate the spirit of the competition or you will be disqualified. Remember that your robot will be voted into the competition based on how realistic it looks.
Not too sure how that would work, considering he can only accept 16 entries, and then he eliminates some by vote

So what will this become? An 8-bot tourney?

thanks
