A good tip is to post a bot, and then improve it with advice from us. That helps you become a better builder overall. There are plenty of people who really know what they are talking about. :D

Now that I have more time to write, I also got multiple flashlights, plenty of candy, and Will Grayson, Will Grayson (a book).

That's what I tried but it did happen in nearly every match. Also I have officially broken the record for longest tournament. First posted video to now is 1 year and 2 days. I should finish it quite soon though.

Time for my excuse.
Caught pneumonia over thanksgiving, got worse after I posted the last videos. Lasted for a while, and finally went back to school. Spent a week and a half, including weekends working on a ton of homework until late at night, and then caught a stomach bug that I've been suffering from for 3 day currently. But I got on the computer, and edited together the Winner's Bracket Final!!!

I would recommend for you to upgrade to Starcore v2 or v3. Your bots are definitely above Starcore v1 level (which is good for how short a time you've been here), but could still be improved by tougher competition.

Aligning the irons won't do anything. It's a good first bot, no need to try to teach him snapper loading his early. Ramplates and casters will kill invertibility, shoe should NOT do that either. And he doesn't have the weight for side protection.
