A friend pointed out this game to me, and I've been loving it. It's a free online FPS with very good graphics and decent gameplay. Best part is, its free!

http://combatarms.nexon.net/Intro.aspx

theres a little intro video. you have to join nexon, but its free also. great game.

WARNING: you will be pwned when you start, because theres no way to practice. It's all online play.

The Arena doesn't work.

I copied it to my DSL folder and the game crashed when I started it up. When I took it back out the game did work.

I think something is wrong with the files.

sorry, forgot to add the hazards.py. It's fixed now.

Well, here it is. I will be sending out the shiny claw to the winners of the bonus awards and rumble and second place. First place got a special Combat Arena that has no hazards and appears at the top of the list, so people playing in the combat arena don't even have to go into the arenas tab. This is because the winner decided to let everyone have the RAW arena!

So RAW 1 now comes to close. It's been fun, with many exciting matches and upsets. Even if the championship isn't as exciting as it should be, the rest of the tourney has been great. I expect to begin RAW 2 soon, and it shouldn't be too far away. Until then, congratulations to all participants!

As for the rumble, it's on the brackets page. It has a very interesting twist, I must say.

And because they asked for it, I did a grudge match for Naryar Vs. Robosh4rk.
Watch it .

I'll make a Awards thread right away.

if he shaved the wheels they wouldn't touch the ground  and wouldnt give the same performance it does in game. Try rotating the perm.

very nice. I would use a different weapon though so it can hit the undersides of bots (maces would be good)

I don't see why it should matter too much, although it might cause confusion. :?

Naryar might be right about the TT version. I don't know how could SnSs do on Table Top matches.

My idea was that everyone is gonna have fast, pushy bots. So instead, im gonna use a SnS to dodge them and have them throw themselves over the edge. the sns isn't to hit the other bot, its to avoid them.

drag the folder to your desktop.
open it.
open your RA2 folder.
drag the files.

(At least, thats what i did. i might have gone through and dragged only files, and no folders, to make sure i didn't overwrite anything i needed. You might as well do that.

I HATE that glitch.

1 of the 2 glitches that don't work towards an advantage. The other is havok.

Isn't that weak against HS?

Yes, very much so. But nothing can be done about that. HS has almost always trumped VS.

If you mean drag the files from WinRaR to the RA2 file, I already tried that and it made no difference

There's instructions dude. Follow them.

What is the AGOD glitch? I bet there is a way were you could change the chassis to fit behind the plow.

AGOD (Axle Glitch of Death) was a term first used by me to describe the glitch where an axle will permanently glitch off the motor, usually ruining otherwise great designs. It has been the downfall of many of my bots, so I had to name it.
