I made Blaze Line in my spare time, , I did the same with Tiny Little Demon.
I made Acornia 3 when I was bored out of my skull. Heck, most of my best bots are made when i'm bored. Gotta be bored more often...

Probably, Badnik, that's what I thought at first. XD
Regarding the side armor, it sounds to me like you're not rotating them enough. I would attach the last flipper segment using the opposite end-AP, then rotate and attach the skirts. You should be able to get it invertible as well as realistic that way. If it still goes through the wheels, then axle load the motors and attach the skirts.
Done that, replaced with 120cm poly skirts.

Fix will come tomorrow, but now must i release a new version or a fix ? I was thinking uploading again the whole thing for simplicity.
Also, v2.4 will come in start July, a little more than one month.
I should have a new team by then, based off the most important subject matter known to man... GATES.
