There should also be a tutorial on how to edit .bot files...? Venko meant to teach me via msn but he spent most of the time talking about his own fantasies.

Stock Showcases / Reier's Stock Showcase« on: October 14, 2008, 04:48:27 PM »Quote from: Condor33;17299 Influenza is, frankly, the coolest looking stock robot EVER. Looks pretty powerful too. Not sure about the other one though...I don't know about all of that, but it is a very original design. Is the bot underpowered in any way? 564

Not sure... But I did! Meet H.V.S...
![]() ![]() It is a little unstable however and it takes some time to get the enemy to the VS weapon. But the good thing about it is that it does some pretty good damage. I think it has 3mm aluminum armor, but it has a spike clubs, boxing gloves, and iron spikes for blade heads on DSL Bars, dual wedge plating, rear slide-caster armor, and 8 red batts (if i am not mistaken). More than enough to feed the perm and mag motors, which fit quite nicely in the chassis IMO. 567

As I have said in red on the first page.
"BATTERIES, BASEPLATE ANCHORS, CONTROL BOARDS, AND ANY THING THAT ISN'T ON AN EXTENDER CANNOT BE MOVED IN ANY OF YOUR BOTS ONCE YOU PLACE THEM, SO BE CAREFUL! " 568

It features: -A unique semi-strafe drive system -Titanium armor -Two flailing weapons which consist of 6 weapons on each "arm" -Invertability -1 Orange batt and a "backup" tiny batt Sorry no splashy for the moment. 570

I think there should be a better method to implement the way the house robots acts during battle.
It should be based off of a random generator in the coding (perhaps roll 1 out of 25), and every time that "1" shows up, the house robots would enter the fray and attack everyone. All the other variables can limit it to just staying in its zone and wait for other bots to enter it. Of course, it would re-roll after every event so you would never know when they would attack. 577

I mean I already changed my post saying that I will AI everyone's bot if they want. If you still want to do it yourself its fine with me. I was sensing some tension from some people saying that it wouldn't be fair for those who don't know how.
HOWEVER... The next tournament will use the only 10 Auto AI rule that I mentioned some time ago. Seriously, we should learn how to edit .py files. 578

Ok. As to resolve this issue altogether. You guys deserve a chance to have a say in this as Nar explained.
And since I have more time than i thought... I will do everyones AI. Even though I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone comes up with, I forgot that not everyone is familiar with python. Apologies everyone. However, this means that I am not responsible for a bots failure in a match if its too complex. Just keep me in mind when you send it <3 So far Somebody and phil sent me their bots. I will also AI them so no worries there either. I think that wraps up the rules for now 579
