going through all the 'enter bot name' robots in my botlabs with no picture attached i found the building blocks for this guy who left unbuilt when i realized i couldnt get the disk i wanted to intersect the chassis. found that the silver disk will, though... so i finished him up. im actually a little impressed with this guy. i just wish i could drive him in a straight line a little bit easier
my first dsl vertical spinner, i present to you: dopesick midnight
(Image removed from quote.)
i have to remember to make dopesick one word in my bot lab. its just more aesthetically pleasing to me that way
Me likey

don't remember rob doing anything of the sort
Rob posted a picture in the Camwhore thread where he had a beard and Naryar had an asthma attack because Rob was far manlier than him. That was all Rob has done.
Lmao

PLEASE ask away if you wanna know something.
Why should any of us care?
This.
This site ain't facebook and no one here is interested about your latest haircut (except possibly for the gay men out there)
No offense meant, it's just that we had enough of a Goldenfox/Rob Collins in there.

It's looks worse than making a skin in the botlab due to the contrast. If you're lazy like me at least just give it a standard metal skin.
standard metal skin looks weird i'm thinking up paintjobs, plus i'm still more concerned with fine tuning the new component

The arm not being lined up flat against the chassis bugs me a little. But that is sweeeeeeeeeeeet.
Mind posting up the reskin of the minion wedge?

That plain black chassis looks like crap. Otherwise, a really nice looking flipper.
if you've seen my showcase you will know that i do not bother skinning bots until i showcase them first
and that i always have no idea what to skin them

Depends. Is it meant to be IRL or Standard? If it's IRL, then it's pretty sweet looking already. If it's Standard, then do what Naryar says.
It's meant to be IRL.
Then it's fine. No need to move the spikes.

judge burst is already OP. I would have something like a smaller beta burst.
Ironforge has one. And if it's too op, one could always increase the weight a little so it's slightly heavier than two judge burst. That and, in my opinion beta burst are a little slow in terms of burst, yes, it can toss bots like nobodies business, but IRL flippers can fire like a gun. Waaay faster than the beta. That, and Idk how to make, reshape or Resize components at all. EDIT: it's done. I'll be testing it before releasing it in DSL 2.1.1

so, the one thing i tend to struggle with when building is the fact that if you want to build a flipper that's any larger than a CW, you're going to need the power of 2 judge bursts for it to remain competitive. However, sometimes that tends to ruin certain bots that could only look good with only one burst motor. i ran into this problem when i built my latest bot, this one. although this doesn't always happen, it is a major pain when it does. so i suggest adding in a variant of the judge burst that is something like the BBEANS stacked blackvolt, it takes up the space of one judge burst, but has the weight of two and only 3 fourths the power of two judge burst to balance out the fact that it wouldn't need as much space. Thoughts?

you'll have also to choose what kind of brackets it is, round robin or double elimination, you didn't specify it in the rules.
I am checking the rules and i'm quite sure it is the only problem left, you'll be able to enter signups very soon
prob single elimination
