Sure, there's no hinges but those screens look pretty vulnerable...
Do you guys bring your handhelds around without a pouch or case of some sort? Not being snarky, it's a serious question.

If Nintendo are going to sell this then i bet they are going to lose a serious amount money.
I wonder who's paying for gaming consoles... oh right the parents.

And what do parents (and sensible gamers) look for? Practicality. You're not going to pay extra for a feature you're never going to use, and it's not uncommon to see halves of DSes lying around in electronics repair stores for a reason. And so far, pretty much all of my friends agree this is the better choice versus the 3DS.

I have to admit though, it does look kinda awkward (the first thing that went to my head after seeing the pic was a giant Tamagotchi), but it's not like you're buying a console for its looks. I'm gonna guess that this will be the Nokia 3310 of handhelds. As for screen protection, I'm pretty sure you could buy a cheap-ass pouch for less than $2.

CAN'T CHRISTMAS COME ANY SOONER

I NEED MONEY FOR THIS AND A NEXUS 4

Judging by the positions of the razors, it's symmetrical.

Protip: Don't use SIIs for srimech. The weapon burst can do that adequately, and it deals damage more consistently if all the razors are rotated the same way.

Now I'm just worried that the srimech is using the wrong motor
Yep. The best srimech motor in this case is the Perm. It's a VS, so might as well use that momentum to flick itself back up.

That, coupled with a larger armor drop (something like 3mm Ti or 5mm Pla should do) would give you more weight to work with (probably a larger chassis or a larger bot overall).

Easily the best wheel guards I have ever seen so far.

In that case, never mind the internal motors. You could try a shape similar to Devil's chassis (the stock one), so it wouldn't wobble around too much when a disk falls off, and would also provide a secondary wedge should the primary wedge get knocked out.

jesus h christ you learn fast

The only suggestion for now is to make a larger chassis to accommodate the weapon motors. It improves stability and greatly increases the armor (especially since DSL armor ratings are much better than stock's).

Turn the RADs around (you might have to space them out a little bit) so the middle won't be so bare.

That's pretty much it really, unless you want to extend the wedges or anything.

I feel that it isn't like patching something that has caused harm, more like what I just did, clarified my statement on some things. Obviously, DRM was a U-turn, but only because they listened to the user feedback. They brought in DRM because they thought that was preferable for all involved. They considered that it prevented piracy, people who have a game tend to play it online, so won't mind if that connection is used to verify that their game has the correct digital rights tag for their profile, and they thought that most people would keep a game once they bought it. After research and user feedback they saw that this made it more difficult for end users, so removed it so that we would enjoy the gaming experience to the same extent as we do now.

This would make a lot more sense, had Microsoft consulted actual gamers before they released details of the product.

But hey, they get some plus points for at least acknowledging the misstep.

Yep, I did say that XB360 is worth the price, not XBO, though.

The fact that it had to get its sh** back together because it screwed up is the reason why I question its management ethics. It's kinda like a car company paying for the hospital fees of the victims from crashes due to brake malfunctions - sure you patched it up, but you still made a mistake you normally shouldn't have done.

Besides, it's not the the team that worked on the 360 is the same team that's working on One. Just consider it a misstep from the company. But yeah, still not buying any of the new consoles until tons of good games come out.

I like how the only posts here were people bashing the Xbox, so as soon as it cleared up what people were making fun of, nobody posted anymore...

...because our views on any item are based on first impressions? And XBO's first impressions are less than appealing - higher price with nothing much to offer for the difference in value.

Of course we had to shut up on that issue if Microsoft decides to clear it up, but the act of a touch-move (and a late one at that) leaves us questioning its management ethics instead.

But that's not saying the PS4 is any better. Sure, it's still better in comparison to the XBO, but both have missed the point of having consoles in the first place. Extra features are worth nought if there's less than a handful of good games (I don't care if it's indie or AAA, I want good games) worth playing on each console - and that's pretty much the best reason why I like the NES/SNES the most (unless the PC is included as a gaming platform). Heck, even the PS2 and XB360 are worth the price because of the loads of fun that comes along with them.

...I would probably be more qualified to say this if I didn't have PCSX2 on my laptop  :rage

Given my extremely limited wallet and time, I'm just waiting for Deadpool and The Last of Us to go on sale.

Needs one on top and on the sides as well. Hammers and side hammers can take it out faster than rammers and popups.

Actually, at this rate, you could simply build a small bumble ball with DSL disks/steel sheets instead of weapons. Might go against the realistic rule, but at least the competition would be fair.

Interesting, but this will be a rammerfest.

also I highly recommend you improve this bot because defensively it's poor.

A popupfest or hammerfest, rather.

But yeah, might be better off with something that's defensive against all types.

In this case, don't center the snapper. Shift it off to a side and use 2 20cms instead of that setup - lighter and makes it a bit higher.

Still nice, keep it up. :P

You don't need a burst for every motor - just a single servo or Snapper II would do just fine. Then you could spend the weight on HPZ drive and/or a shallower chassis wedge.

Still pretty nice, though.
