I live about 2 hours away from Crewe, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. It's a piece of robot combat history, but it's also a pile of junk.
can you post a pic? i'm not familiar with it and google won't bring it up
The pile of junk we've been talking about ATM? It's a super heavyweight called Siren who's only televised match was during the series 2 grudge match special
oh i thought crewe was a bot. i dont know a damned thing about townships in england

thats nifty. there's some awesome tutorials on unity on their website too if you wanna learn that. i watched a tutorial on making an angry birds type game and asides from when he started to get into the really code-heavy aspects (things that had obviously been covered in previous tutorials but were breezed over very quickly or assumed you'd already known) it was actually pretty encouraging. i really want to make some arcade-y sports games for droid or maybe an indie platform like an ouya or something

Who cares if normal jeans make you look like a slob? I think skinny jeans look chavvy, no offense to the non-chavs that wear them. Also, normal jeans fit you without being 'skinny', it just gives you that extra bit of circulation that exact fits don't. I want my jeans to fit but not only just, or else I have pretty much no room down there.
it depends on the brand and where you buy them. a good fitting pair of jeans will never cut off your circulation, if they are then you're doing it wrong Fitting and/or skinny jeans are SO comfortable. It's like another layer of skin rather than pulling massive fabric-y tubes around with your legs :P Also show some leg? What the hell do you mean? Like, the shape!? :')

haha i can't get through a tournament with the default dsl ai, i can't begin to imagine what kind of hell awaits me in nar ai. dopesick fairs pretty well for a middleweight though, i've been impressed with what i can pull off with this lanky beast
is there somewhere i can see some screengrabs of what ill be up against?
and yeah i much prefer realistic building. especially considering i don't know all the glitchy crazy tricks yall do. i can burst/skirt mount, axle load, and stack batteries/whatnot... that's about all i've got up my sleeve. seeing how many tribars i can load onto a 2cm box isn't exactly my style. hence why i do most of my building in dsl nowadays anyways
muchos gracias that you think i'd even stand a chance, though!

going through all the 'enter bot name' robots in my botlabs with no picture attached i found the building blocks for this guy who left unbuilt when i realized i couldnt get the disk i wanted to intersect the chassis. found that the silver disk will, though... so i finished him up. im actually a little impressed with this guy. i just wish i could drive him in a straight line a little bit easier my first dsl vertical spinner, i present to you: dopesick midnight i have to remember to make dopesick one word in my bot lab. its just more aesthetically pleasing to me that way

well i went on a full body spinner kick today the beetle could be more effective but i wanted a full shell on it. there's another iteration that has better weaponry and less panels. all of the spinners use the same chassis and layout for the most part asides from the middleweight which i skirted a ztek into place for the weapon. the middleweight spends a lot of time upside down but it's never out and can self right after some time there's also some other ants and beetles in there iirc, not sure how many i've posted. as per usual, nothing incredibly good or effective. but most of them look alright, and i build mostly for looks anyways enjoy!

'skinny' jeans are better because you dont have excess fabric bunching up and pulling in all different ways and because you don't look like a slob. most people nowadays consider a proper fitting pair of jeans to be 'skinny' jeans. clothes are supposed to fit you, not hide you. and baggy clothes really don't do the trick anyways, in fact they make you look far worse. a baggy shirt for example is going to hang loose falling into and showing all the curves you don't want anybody to see (for example, your man titties), and the excess hanging off the bottom is going to hang your waistline draped out to the widest point on your body and make you look far bigger than you truly are. try it and see the difference. once you're used to it you'll never go back regular pants beat jeans any day or the week anyways. just don't buy them from wal-mart or your local big box store. buy your clothes from a place that sells nothing but clothes. otherwise you're likely going to end up with a pair of ill fitting dockers that make you look like an ass. suit pants don't have to be worn with a suit, and a good pair of pants in a non-traditional fabric like a linen for the summer or a corduroy in the winter is going to leave you far more comfortable and even looking like you know a thing or two about dressing yourself. say hello to the ladies! or better yet, watch them come and say hello to you for a change

if i see any more people throwing sh** at each other after my post, heads will roll.
So if I fling sh**, but not aimed at anyone in particular, is that cool?
Let me just say, **** jeans. They feel like sh**. God forbid you try to cross your legs either, nope, can't have that.
thank you somebody had to say it

that sh** is ill! of course it would get smacked regardless of any refurb done on it but most robot wars bots were rather primitive anyways and a pneumatic spike on a robot that looks like it would rock back and forth on impact backed with a wood saw would need some major work done but hey! half of it is already done for you. how could you complain?
edit dang theres four pages of bots for sale? i have not been looking very hard

huh thats really weird and interesting. does anyone know what causes it? like maybe axle glitching one too many times or something while you're building? i dont think i had but i did have to rotate the spinner to get the last two bars on and that coulda thrown it out of whack.
does the sheild-as-spinner thing usually work out in such a negative fashion? if not then you're probably right, i'm all agoded out the mother-****.

Not a bad beetleweight form the looks of it. Could you try making it an HS?
i guess so but horizontal spinners typically bore me. maybe i'll angle it or something though /shrug wanted to try a beetleweight vs. apparently you can't spin those little armor plates vertically, they're terribly unbalanced. this robot can not sit on two wheels for more than a second after the weapon comes on. it's a damned shame. i think he's pretty
(Image removed from quote.)
ill build something that works as intended some day
Have you pressed f12 and checked to see if all the weapon meshes are where they're supposed to be? Sounds like your weapon is AGoDed.
woah thats some advanced sh** far beyond me. what do about it if they are out of place? and what the is an agod? excuse my ignorance thanks for all the feedback as always yall :)

To be quite frankly bluntly honest, I find the amount of misogynists on this website to be really problematic and toxic to our community founded on equality and acceptance of everyone. I identify as a gaymer, and my preferred pronoun is "mother****"-er I demand that you all refer to me as mother****er from now on or I will be triggered.
haha now thats fierce

i am however nice enough of a person to comment politely and try and make a topic out of it instead of jumping to be the first person to shoot the man down like a heat seeking doucherocket in so many paragraphs
so on that note, how's your hair yall? ive probably got hat hair as usual because ive always got something sitting up there. today it's my dolphins snapback (go fins!) 90s/00s logo with the helmeted dolphin of course. the new logo looks like a squirt of aquafresh toothpaste and is a god damned sin as far as im concerned.

PLEASE ask away if you wanna know something.
Why should any of us care?
This.
This site ain't facebook and no one here is interested about your latest haircut (except possibly for the gay men out there)
No offense meant, it's just that we had enough of a Goldenfox/Rob Collins in there.
speaking on behalf of the community i proudly represent: we dont give a sh**. you need to cut that word out of your vocabulary, brother
