And now to think up a name for Svetlana's ship...
Perhaps something like "Volga"?

The sky is falling

reminds me of:

life`s like a waterfall
it`s always going down

sounds more emo than it is :P
To me, life is like a burnt steak. Small, tough, and the chips are always stacked against you.

Mike The Cool Person (Christopher Ryan) in The Young Ones. Said to Rick (Rik Mayall) as he was dangled upside down by Robbie Coltrane of Hagrid fame, outside his bedroom which had been turned into a roller disco.

Now give me my <expletive>ing cookie.
*Hands over the cookie*

There you are- with extra Apples and Pears  :coolface

hmmmm :)
Indeed- and with that, it could also help along with a revival for British Engineering. Just like old times  :3
Hey

lets start a robot combat COUNTRY

HOLLY GOD CHRIST
Sparkarse, shut up. That's not contributing anything.

I know :) those are pretty good to let some people fight with robots  without doing serious damage :)
Yes...and it also serves one of the great messages RW had- it made engineering cool for the general public. By reigniting that interest with that and remembrance of all the old greats, Robot Combat could take on a new age in the UK  <3

Yeah, I've seen those. Ming Dienasty and Zorro were built from those chassis  :3

I can see it in a hangar and there would be a huge pretty dark room (not a dark room) with some spotlights and 6 podiums with Roadblock, Panick Attack, Chaos 2, Razer, Tornado and (it has to be :/) Typhoon 2
Somewhat like that- a bit like the Great Hall in the NRM, really. And perhaps other things, like say, the House Robots, props and things from the original TV series, and a purpose-built arena or something might be cool. For full-combat events in the UK, perhaps.

Discussion / Re: Naming your bots.

I tend to think of cool names, typically team-related, before I build, saving them in the form of empty BOT files in the team. I then build them one-by-one.

Come to think of it, I just had a random thought- "Bitter Consolations" would be a good name for a bot.

I dont understand your music taste.

Still, it's better than those chumps from Ireland, I guess  :trollface
This was my favourite Eurovision 2011 song, Ireland was second. :3
Maybe, but Peter and Rick (My name for the Irish chumps) still sucked  :trollface

Indeed- I could imagine it being laid out somewhat like the National Railway Museum, with programs to renovate the older and more famous robots to working condition. You never know- Fix our Firestorm? Help our HypnoDisc? Repair our Razer?  :P

Depends which robots
Yes- even today, I could see it beating some of the RR Machines today.

Chaos 2 is still with its owners and Pussycat is owned by Mr. Stu
Ah, OK. The last I'd heard of Chaos 2, it was under overhaul to fix the damage done to it in Extreme 2, as part of its retirement. Have you seen or heard from it since then? I'm guessing that that is what was implied by what you'd mentioned about it.
Not too sure regarding what state it's in
Yes...but I think it's a fairly safe bet. After all, it'd be sad to see such an influential robot and RW champion in the state it was after that horrible punishment it took from Razer, 13 Black and Mr Psycho.

no i was just next to it on the benches at guilford.

a couple of people i know are (foolishly) trying to buy it off jonno though

It would be amazing if you did buy it. Owning a robot which was once ranked 3rd in the UK must be pretty cool. =]
Makes me wonder what happened to Chaos 2 and Pussycat, too...
I know
You do? Let's hear it then, if it's alright   :approve:

Not the actual robot, but pictures and information on it, along with one of the pullbacks of it- citing it as an example of innovative and successful Lincolnshire engineering.
