and with this:

NOOOOOOOO
Eh?
It is the most horrible representation of robot combat that I have ever seen
In all seriousness however, how? Unlike those kits that Roaming Robots offered, those things are actual heavyweights, with effective (to them at least) weaponry. Might not cause actual damage, but to anyone who has driven robots casually (not professionally), they do look like good fun- almost like coin op RC vehicles (like you get in Amusement Parks and the like) on steroids   :approve:

*downs a caramel frappucino in one go*

I'm getting better at these - I give myself three out of five stars for that one :3

Hopefully, I'll have it up to five stars for when boss comes over :D

He's not the only one interested in that type of beverage, you know ._.
Ah, but in ST, that's what's generally known as GF's signature favourite beverage   :approve:

Ohoho, you've gotten me even more excited for them :3

Nope, coffee's not done yet.
Wait a second...4:34am?

Happy Birthday, Nate! For your present from me, here's a new tractor-

It has better brakes than the other one, just to reassure you, in case some kid takes it for a joyride off a ledge

And Happy Birthday to you too, MNB! For you, I present-

A big box of Oreo Cupcakes   :approve:

I got a feeling that he's not going to make the deadline.....  Again.
My guess is that he's probably sampling wine, waxing his moustache or engaging in traditional French lovemaking or something.

The more smilies, the better!
And before you ask, no we are not making any Pony smilies  XD

Tournament Archives / Re: Ironbot

Posting my entry early as per the new tournament rules (well, not new anymore, but still implemented after my last tournament).

I will switch to regular gray maces for the tournament to avoid any possible confusion over custom components.
Love the name   :approve:

So I read the rules for vote challenge, apparently reskinning is not allow.  It also has a 1 week limit so that means I can win by default if Naryar don't have something in 2 days.

Anyway here's mine, a Twin Headed Fire Breathing Razor Dragon.

(Image removed from quote.)
How's Nary going to beat that?
More Razors.

Piglet on Servo?
Yes- or an Overkill motor rewired as a servo-that's limited to 180.

It can't be too difficult. Maybe the elevated bit on the back might be problematic, but I think some well-placed flipper segments might work.
Indeed- then that just leaves how to implement the circular saw arm- it was designed to flip out of the robot at a 180-degree angle.

some day I will buy all of them and make a Robt Wars museum <3

DO THIS IMMEDIATELY.

I WILL GO SEE IT.

I would like to see a US version of what GF93 would like, a renewal of robotic combat.

The fastest way to do that is get a TV channel to broadcast the fights on an episodic basis (not just once a year like Killer Robots.)  If you really want people to make fun designs, you have to offer them athe chance to show them off in front of an audience of millions.

But yeah, the money problem comes into it again.
Yes- by starting off with a new show or something that is actually run properly by people who actually care about the sport, I think that'd be a good start.

Aye, I've been looking for an excuse to give that one more action.  I replaced the square extenders with steel, so hopefully the weapons won't break as easily.
And a good reasoning for it too, with it winning the "Best Engineered" robot award and all. Now all I need to see is a Plunderbird 1 rep somewhere, and I think I can die happy  :D
Now I just wonder what robots you chose to represent the Spy and the Heavy...

It's whatever I'm thinking about at the moment.  Like for example my mind was completely on the risks of using plastic armour when I christened "The Plastic Peril"
Or thinking of long-extinct prehistoric Pokemon (or Japanese helmets, for that matter) when you came up with Mutant Kabuto?   :approve:

Both actually, it looked a lot like the helmet, and I thought people would get the Pokemon reference.  The name itself came about because I was thinking of the way John Madden talks and sometimes slurs words together, "Mutant Kabuto" is the kind of phrase where he'd barely pronounce any of the syllables.
Ah, so bonus points for referencing both things, then  :approve:

Also, I enjoyed seeing the Mortis rep back in action for the TF2 Tournament.

You could do one of my ideas, start with a base name, and then just completely derail it.

'AW - Krabby
BW - Parasect
LW - Parry
MW - Mitsurugi
HW - Soul Calibur
SHW - Tekken
UHW - Street Fighter'

Ya see? Pretty crazy, but they all connect.
LW- I like
MW- Old Movies
HW- Like the Godfather
AW- Three
BW- It's not considered the Best One
SHW- But that's just me

 :trollface

*IRL Laughter*
*Bows*

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it   :approve:

Glad to see someone agrees with our view- and who knows? Maybe a revival worldwide! And then once it does take shape, they'll one day look back on us, a ragtag bunch of misfits with a cool vision, and credit us with a new renaissance in the world of Robot Building, and engineering  :3
