Be proud of your achievement Wen. Papyrus almost got a win in that one!
Imagine if that happened, the R4 like popup, most likely able to do 1 hit ko's, lost to a joke bot entry that couldn't even properly attack and just because it couldn't self right.

Your entries are well made and all Badger, but it feels kinda cheap to enter bots like that in your own tourney. no hate, just my opinion. Fair. I'm not good enough to be creative with stock so I just entered the first 2 generic things I could make.I agree with mecha on this one.
You would have a point if you spent more than 10 minutes on your entries buddy. And you entered 2 popups anyway.
For me it's not the genericness but how the second one was basically a jumping spikeball of death. To be fair, the Clusterbot Popup was at least different to the 3 clones we see here. You two are going to be the best friends ever, aren't you?

I know, bump, but I was having the same issue as Naryar, on all kinds of RA2 versions, using the normal and a custom version I made. At first I thought the .exe was outdated(in the credits it still says the .exe is version 1.2), ran the patcher and found out that the 1.3 patch doesn't add a new .exe.
After seeing the issue in Ironforge I quickly thought that it had to do with the compatibility settings and removed them all. That worked and further testing showed that the "run as administrator" flag caused the issue(guess the program is run under the admin user account which autohotkey can't send keys to/since it's started by a normal user it's not running on the admin.)
Just thought I'd add this for people having the same issue, hope this isn't a negative bump.

That's what I was commenting about earlier and what a surprise no replies.
Oh come on, be a bit more positively minded. I see you didn't have enough time to finish this bot as it's only 600kg. Your Clusterbot did do nice however and the first round wasn't bad as well, second round was against a out of control HS which gets very close to a Trinity bot(a thing that bounces around out of control and does massive damage that way, banned in most tournaments).
Man that HS is a unstable mess, controled movement sadly wasn't part of the rules, should've entered a Trinity Bot. First match was total garbage because of that, are we going to enter rotating spikeballs next?
Also music ended in the middle of the video and didn't come back after that.
So my opponents will be from group 4, think that Tough Love 2 and Gold Miner will be the two top bots there, VS might be able to do Gold Miner, that is if the hammer doesn't destroy the motors first, not so much for Tough Love 2. Other two look like the HS could destroy them, however I don't want to underestimate the flipping power of Urgent Emergency 2.
It's actually usually not that bad, it just had a minor havok off the start and right at the end. I didn't think it was major enough for a havok restart, maybe I was wrong.
I realised that I didn't extend the music to the end of the video, so it ends in the same place as the group 2 match. This is fixed in the group 4 video, which I'm currently rendering. I'll get going on recording the first round of playoff matches. Any other feedback?
It did havok more than that for the first match, was havok(0:15-0:23), then stable for a little bit(0:23-0:28), another havok(0:28-0:31), stable(0:31-0:40) and then the big havok(0:40) in the end which made the fight. Usually havoks that cause damage or cost the fight cause a rematch but this isn't noted in your rules(I don't want to be offensive, but a lot about this tournament didn't seem to be clear at first) but hey this is your tournament and all. In my view that thing was just too unstable and I would've redone it, but I don't want to discuss this further or get any negative rep, like I said before it's your tournament and your rules.

it can be blurry on my end too. the camera basically just jitters really fast, making it look blurry. as for a fix, no idea.
Oh I see, thanks for the info. I didn't like the zoom in/out it does during the victory spin either. Trov once mentioned working on a new orbit cam which was basically action cam v2 but dunno if we will ever see that.

I don't see it mate, there doesn't seem to be any motion blur there. Maybe it's something to do with your monitor?
Yeah it isn't really visible in the video and it isn't too much blurr, it just looks odd but I think that's because I never used actioncam before(using the F2 camera feels somewhat similar so it's probably just all the fast movement happening while the usual watch camera feels more static).

Looks good, 2wd wedge clusterbots. How strong are the motors? I only worry a bit that 2wd isn't strong enough to push(then again I have no idea about the technical components used in this and how strong the motors are),loving it.

You know there's a entry called "generic spinner" in this ? :P Noticed the upside down motors which will be perfect anti wedges. Not sure how effective the rack will be, and since you spent weight on this, something else is weaker. That's only RAD drive, right?
It's HPZ drive. I don't think it could move with just RADs.
Guess those are either stacked or connected via the Snapper II's ? Would be interesting to see the insides but think I'm getting offtopic here. Also you should see Disappointment Trike from the tricycle takedown, it only had 3x RADs.

What's with people calling my HS generic. I put a lot of planning into it. The layout is designed to give it the best chance against wedges by hopefully bouncing over the weaponry. Additionly it has 4 extra claws as a ramming rack so it can beat other HS in the deweapon fights.
There is more of a plan than HUR-DUR LET'S MAKE 36HS.

Looks nice, but I worry about it getting stuck in the opening position/ground clearance causing some problems.

Here's the video, don't think it's noticeable until YT has higher quality available:

Double post, I know, but I've updated this, the camera seems to work with 60 fps as well(which I think is RA2's original framerate?) and I'd like to see Trov's actioncam2 if he's still alive/returns.

Can you record it? I've never seen this before, sounds very odd.
Is it just on action cam? Do you have a GPU?
Currently uploading a video, dunno if it's just me not being used to it but it looks blurry every time bots move at high speed. I've tried checking if there's any difference with the F2 camera fix/fps lock to 60 and there wasn't. I have a Nvidia GTX 750 Ti, no settings changed, the only thing I did was add a Profile for Robot Arena 2 with all settings unchanged minus the 60 FPS fix, but even without that profile it happens.

So I installed Actioncam, however all the movement always seems to make the game a bit blurry, is there any fix to this and has anyone else had this issue before?

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS!
Why not use the Spoiler tags?

Also your bot is looking good, always love seeing clusterbots even if they can be a pain to fight(and get the advantage of starting points, if only my VS started there it wouldn't need to turn around that much=less chance to be caught from the side).

Probably would be if my parents wouldn't hate video game consoles that much. Would try to find alternative ways to make sure that the games can be played for forever.

A bit odd that Clusterbots start in those positions, I know it was done so that not only one bot fights but it makes it much shorter for bots to reach the enemy. Also any reply on the skin change? Ouch, that hitbox on the clusterbot was too big, they were hitting eachother. And again, the tiebreaker match is the same as the first one.
So the clusterbots get to fight generic HS, guessing based on the other match, the HS should win, then again the other bot had stronger weapons. VS vs HS, I don't think that one's going to end well. Ok messed it up, those aren't the next matches. Was Wen's bot really that wobbly or did the other bots just have better luck with the wedges?

We never said if we are releasing it or not.
So, what was the point of making all those other robots and the "coming soon" at the end?
They will most likely release it anyways, that's why the think we shouldn't worry about it, what would be the problem if it's inofficial? Doubt that they or the roboteers would want to have this taken down, if anything it's free advertisement and showing that people are working on somewhat technical stuff, which is something most of them would enjoy?

Alright, was wondering when the videos would be up. First Round, my HS vs my VS oh great, HS is definitely going to take this- wait what? Knew I should've made the two inside spinners the ones with the extra spikes, they rarely hit something now. WHOA, didn't see that second one coming, almost a instakill, thought the VS might have gotten lucky the first time. The other matches had obvious results, kinda hoped that every bot could fight against every, similar to what RW did in the 2016 reboot, but that would take too long.
You know, before this post I was going to say that the VS is full of surprises, thought Round 1 will probably be out soon(and that it would fall in it) so it would be pointless saying that. Looks like I was wrong and this thing can sometimes work just like Nightmare.
Thrackerzoid's bot is doing good so far, wonder how a rematch against the VS would've went.
How far are you with the recordings/would skin updating still be possible?
