I have an answer for you: Just about anything that isn't stock.

Stock revival time!

Small side note: This would've been a BOTM entry this month if it had fit the requirements. Also, first half decent skin made by me!

I didn't expect anything different, after I got so pissed off making a decent HW artbot, I just slapped a sh**ty motor on the top and made the splash. Let's hope next month will end up better -_-

yes, let's, and let's hope it's stock....

I tried to stack batteries then gave up after 15 minutes, I didn't managed to do it. I also don't feel doing it is fair. While I think the lack of self collisions is intentional. The stacking, effes and axle loading glitches are probably not intended by the devs. It's almost like hacking the game and turning off collision detection altogether when building.

come to the ironforge camp that stuff is banned there  :gawe:
This is true about if, but the reason that so many glitches are allowed in stock is because look at the other packs. More components, more armor, more everything. If it weren't for glitches, stock would be a dead game. (and besides, they're fun sometimes too. ) One of my friends once asked me "Why would you want to have a bot that one-shots everything? Where is the fun in that?" my reply was and is "Because it's necessary."

Whoops, showcase fell into the pits of Tartarus onto the second page; can't have that.

I made this:

(Image removed from quote.)

I put the razors on frontways like that because I figured it meant there was less time for HS to knock the extenders off.  Of course, once the bot gets its face smashed in, the razors/extenders are easy to reach.  I should probably fix that.  Despite that, it performed decently in testing.

On a related note, how far should the popup arm go on a bot like this?  Should it go the max distance of the burst motor?  Should it just barely break the surface of the bot?  Something in between?

7.8/10 no wedge

Use small wedges over emergency wedges, they are superior in every way

Usually, this is true, but sometimes I have found emergency wedges better. Depends on the wedge. I would recommend testing out both if you actually care. :P

EDIT: Just noticed that gauche's bot is labeled as mine in the vid XD

Yup, forgot about the virtual consoles release fora moment there.
According to serebii.net all the glitches remain, not surprising really as i imagine gamefreak would rather not bother looking back into the coding of red and blue. I dont blame them, they'd likely only make things worse if they did anyway.
They have changed the flashing animations of some of the more seizure inducing attacks.

oooooooooooo, I wonder if you can transfer a missingno.... mhmhmhmhm hehehehe
I've been thinking about this too haha.
Most likely they will have an error handler thrown in there, something to stop any glitches being traded. All of the gen 1 glitche would just turn into their respective internal ID counterparts anyway, so they would all just become legitimate 2nd gen pokemon if you could trade them.
However, trading an M' with an internal hex number of 00 could prove interesting, as theoretically that should result in a glitch if traded up...

but the thing is, I don't know if an 'M' or Missingno would get through the cheat detector that pokemon bank has built in... one can only hope.

Contests / Re: Wiki Trivia Contest

Now that we are done, I have some questions that anyone can answer (the more the merrier).

  • Did you have fun watching/participating? Yes
  • Would you participate if we had another wiki contest? Yes
  • If we had another, are there any rules that should be changed? Maybe the first person to edit/create also gets a point, even if they get overridden?
  • If we had another, is there anything that I should be doing differently? Not really.

I'll either have a bot sent in tomorrow or tuesday. :)

If it's a popup, just change the variable RunUpsideDown to 1 and invertible to true (use popup.py). otherwise, i have no idea.

It was a close vote but since we didn't reach the prerequisite number of votes (3), round 6 will be kept and Mr. AS will receive the win.

With that, here are the final scores:
ParticipantPoints
Naryar2
Mr. AS3
Geice2
Silverfish0

Congratulations, Mr. AS for winning the Wiki Trivia Contest.

Thank you to everyone that participated. I hope you enjoyed playing.

:P I would have 1 point but I got hijacked by nary. GG tho
