Thank you all  :smile:

why don't you try to turn it into a walker too?

Because walkers can really test your patience. I've already made too many walkers  :rolleyes:
Also it's triple hard to make a walker that walks and at the same time that actually looks like something and not just a box with legs.

flamethrower pls

Already tried it. The only way to fit the flamethrower made the dragon look like it had a large potato in its mouth. I know it's a discrimination having a dragon that doesn't spit fire but personally, I think it looked ridiculous with that big brown thing in there.

dude bone dragon
To be that, it needs :
-a longer tail;
-a longer horns, or at least this one reversed at 180 degrees;
-a sheets for a wings, the current wings are to skinny-bone-ish and too small to fly;
-the front neck spikes must go on the back neck, even if it's need to sacrifice the piston for the jaw;
-a nails on the top of the wings;
-and probably a vertical sitting position (will be hard to make).
...yeah, I'm a maximalist...
The bone dragon was the lamest in the game, azure dragon anyone?

Sorry for the spam, Domanating.

I wasn't following any design in particular, actually. I just made a skeleton dragon. Simple as that, lol
You should also point out that dragon has legs and my dragon has wheels  :mrgreen:

No worries, m8

Btw, if you fix that humanoid bot, you can enter in BotM with it.

If by "fixing" you mean make it better looking or more aesthetically pleasing, that's ok but there's no need to give it better walking capabilities. I think BOTM is more about a bot/splash that pleases the eye, not if it works. At least that's how I think. In the 2 BOTMs I participated in my bots didn't actually work  :rolleyes:.

Holy crap! A bipedal bot! I've tried so many times to make one! I was only successful with four legged walkers.
Nicely done!
and i've always tried to make 4 legged bot, and it always ended with failure lol

Really?! That's odd... 4+ legged bots are more stable thus easier to make, imo.

Here m8, take a peek at my first walker :smile:

When I had fish they never survived long enough to have babies...

My case is quite different. When I had fish they never survived more than 1 month, lol.
Last summer I went fishing on a nearby river and caught a small crayfish by accident. I decided to keep it and it sure is 10 billion times easier to take care of these than fish. They also require less maintenance. 090901, if your baby fish are bothering you, give them to me. My crayfish will love them  :bigsmile:

derp
The OP clearly says "post your top 20 favorite games"
Is the word "derp" considered an insult?

I'm pretty sure he just wanted to avoid such a long quote so he substituted the entire quote for a word.

 :thumbup This

There's no doubt (IMO) that 90s games (Mario, Sonic, Megaman, etc....) were harder in general but we can't stay with the old games forever. Well, of course I'm not much a of a 90's guy, I'm younger  but I sure did enjoy all NES, MegaDrive, N64 and even Gameboy games and I still do. These games, for who had the chance to play them, are surely good memories to keep but the quest for new games keeps going as we change or evolve our interests.

Most of the games I pointed involve lots of weapons, simulators and building. Why did I choose these games? Because I like weapons in general (who doesn't, lol), I like realism so If I can't do something in real life I find a simulator and finally I love creating/building stuff. The only interest that I could satisfy in the 90's was building using Legos (and I still do)

I do know that you guys know TX much more than I do and I know that many of you wished him out of the forum. I do not know if there was any talk out of the forums (besides the skype talk mentioned), but is "makes sense" provocative enough for permanent ban?
He has been banned many times before and he talked Nar into giving him one more chance and he ****ed that one up
Exactly this.

Got it

I like Bruce Springsteen. He's one of the greatest. I have friends that almost worship him, lol.
But my favorite singer of all time is Neil Diamond by a very very loong shot.

Vinyl has certain charm but that's about it. My father still keeps his vinyl turntable and I like them. But if we ever lose it for some reason, I personally will not be interested in buying a replacement. My father will surely want a new one because all his childhood musics are in vinyl.

Thank you, m8  :smile:

Here's another "thing" I made. Not really good for anything It's just because it's a dragon, lol

The wheels have this weird configuration because of the combination of "rule of 7" and the need to make it stable.
It was thought pretty much like the Alligator: The neck can drop and the lower jaw can open/close. Unlike the Alligator, this one has no chance in battle, even against incompetent opponents.

Almost thought the new Alligator was a walker for a minute. it looks amazing.

Dunno how the hammers on Hulk Smash hit anything, but I guess I'll find out when you post the video...

Thank you m8.

See for yourself  :mrgreen:

New bot! A joke bot that needs stupid opponents to work!

There are 2 versions with a different setup of the fists and burst motors.
It's really fun to play with this thing. Tomorrow I'll make a video of it in action  :smile:

Oh man I badly want to see this in action.

I planned on doing a video but I need better opponents to be worth watching. Not so good opponents though. This bot isn't exactly very effective but it's fun to use it. I can put it in the exchange if you want and you could have some fun.  :rolleyes:

I think this all you requested for. Indeed it stabilizes well the bot. Thanks a lot m8.

Now with legs it looks more like an Alligator, hehe. The legs are also placed in a way to resemble an alligator/crocodile taking a sun bath. The back legs close to the body and the front legs spread forward

Edit: the armor had to be changed to 3mm Plastic to allow the changes

Thanks once more  :mrgreen:

oh my

speed should be fine though since most alligators dont run that fast anyway on land (according to wikianswers at least).

edit- you dont have a wiki page yet all the members known for nothing other than entering bbeans do? bullsh**. im going to make one for you soon.

I'm flattered m8, but you don't need to waste time on a Wiki page just because I exist, lol. Just don't bother.

DSL3?  I suggest lowing your drive changing the wheels to hypno.  They have the same speed anyway.

You can then use the rest of the weight to protect the wheels with claw like armors.

It's the best I could do while trying to keep the armor at 3mm Titanium. I had to remove some components to complete the wheel guard anyways, though. It seems a bit faster with hypnos for some reason but comes at a reasonable cost: It has become more unstable and in sharp turns it can tip over quite easily.

Thank you all once again  :smile:

Beautiful. Great job.

*First picture* Say ah. Awesome design. Only thing that give this thing any trouble would be a flipper because it doesn't look like it can self-right nor invertable.
I thought the head mechanics could self-right it.

The body of the bot is just too long to allow that. Maybe it would work if I removed the tail.

Idea: Put the tail on a vertical axle so it can "collapse" when the robot needs to self-right? Or would that not work?

mmm... I doubt it. The weight of the tail is still present to counter the burst motor. Plus the axle, even if at vertical position, would stop when it reaches its rotating limit.
A side burst motor would resolve the issue. But to fit it I would have to redesign the body from scratch. Or simply attach it somewhere out of the body.
