Oh, it's just a tournament that blood orange was involved in (it stands for robot arena 2 team championships 3).
I just referenced it as an example of how weak those perm 80s are, and also to have a little dig at craaig for having a differing opinion to me before ;P 550

Well, as another tip, if you have the leftover weight, but not enough for a half sheet, you can use casters on the bottom of the bot as well, just like in stock, for an invincible (ish) bottom.
Main concern would be to protect that weapon motor... just look at blood orange in RA2TC2 ;P 555

Discussion / How does "air" consumption work?« on: August 15, 2011, 11:14:31 AM »
I'm working on a bot in stock that uses pistons when I realised, I have no idea how much air is needed to power one piston, or whether a large air tank is worth using in the first place, or even the difference between servo and burst pistons when it comes to their air consumption.
So does anybody know how it actually works? 558

What's the big deal about metal hinge wedges?
There's nothing not realistic about them, they're just very good. Get everbody to not use them for IRL bots, and you'll just be back to skirt hinge wedges anyway. 559

I'm just speaking from my experience here, bottom protection comes in more handy than stronger stabilizers, plus, by attaching them to the half sheet, they'll end up further away from the chassis, which is obviously where other bots will most likely be aiming for.

Excellent for a first bot.
