Ahh, well. i much prefer the first bot. second one appears crippled weaponwise and like it can't really lift stuff efficiently but i may be wrong The second one is actually more efficient in terms of a long-term battle, and the DPS doesn't really suffer much between the hammer setups. I've never considered Drumbots to be efficient at lifting things, and never designed the bot with that in mind, really. 546

Just finished making Thwok!'s cousin, Thwack!
![]() same internals, 795.5, with 45KG hammers this time, and Plastic 10. Now protected with THICCâ„¢ bottom and top protection - four 80X100 Polycarb sheets protect the top and bottom of the 'bot, for a total of 24,000HP's of protection. Can last noticeably longer in grueling fights now, despite the slight drop in DPS. Cheers, Reier! There's been more upgrades since this one, but I don't wanna be triple-posting - it's already bad enough that I double-posted, let alone dragging this out further. 547
DSL TC Showcases / Re: FOTEPX's DSL Showcase« on: June 28, 2016, 10:31:01 PM »I like your idea but the hammers feel off to me the way they are on there like thwy arent turned to have a consistent pattern The pattern actually is consistent, with every attached hammer being 90 degrees in an X-style shape - kinda hard to see from that angle though, so you're justified. It performs perfectly well in it current pattern, but I guess it could look a bit more aesthetically pleasing. it looks tight but does it have top/bottom protection I was gonna up the armour or add top/bottom protection, but I couldn't do that without downgrading to 45KG's, which unbalance the whole drum and look pretty stupid. I could remove 2 50KG hammers and go heavy on the armour, but I think it'd remove the combat effectiveness. I'll get back to you on that. 548

A simple, but effective Drum bot which is better than NAR AI's current offerings - this is THWOK!
![]() Steel 3, 796.4 - you could probably upgrade to 55KG hammers if you shortened the wheelbase and downgraded to Titanium sheets, but it's not really worth it for general combat. BTW Nary, when I say "NAR AI's current offerings", I'm on about WIIIDE LOAD from NAR AI's DSL 2.1 expansion. Don't sweat it, I'm pretty sure the newest version of Wide Load will still be a challenge. 549

If anyone knows the chord progressions, happens to know notation, or think that they can help in any way, leave a response, or just what you think of the overall idea. I've already got the bassline down as follows: 550

Now the race is on - will the GTM community patch the game before the actual designers, or will the designers pull their thumbs out of their ass?

Dat's a loooooootta spikes. Considering how close you are to being a MW, I recommend you drop the armour or something to fit into the MW weight class. The chassis is pretty compact already - could be smaller, but for a builder of your calibre, I don't expect air-tightness just yet - but yeah, drop the armour or remove a spike or two to fit into the MW weight class, and you'll have a pretty potent rammer!

Surely you could get rid of that one ant battery and spend the 6Kg's on chassis armour or stronger extender/armour work? The robot could easily last the whole 3 minutes on just that one WDP.

Alright, we're getting to it! It's looking good - same advice as before, keep going down that path and see how many irons you can pack in there! You don't need armour that thick - really you don't need anything thicker than Titanium 5. I think you might be able to get 8 irons on there if you downgrade the wheels and armour somewhat, but you'll very soon have a bot that will be viably competitive!
