Hey Sonny, for Unibite can I recommend to skin the sides of the wheels to the chassis? It gives an illusion of transparency, and I think with those awesome yellow wheels it will add some color to the bot that will make it stand out nicely.

I expect both of my bots to fall in the first round.
Klink appears to be too low for Megagross to reach. That duo will nip away at Meta's legs until it falls. By that time... the match will probably be won by WBP. Exadrill has enough speed to slam Magikarp right off the bat. It will likely turn the fish over. While it can flail, it cannot self right. Likely loss due to immobilization. I think Skorupi will win the rumble. Then after that: Klink > Metagross Skorupi > Garbodor Exadrill > Magikarp Aerodactly > Sandslash leading to: Skorupi > Klink Aerodactyl > Exadrill finishing with: Aerodactly > Skorupi :P I think the flying pokemon has enough advantage to pwn pretty much everything. Well played Nary. 544

I seriously laughed at that last vid. XD Watching the flipper flail around in desperation.
Haz you have come a long way. Don't let the losses get you down, because your bots have gotten progressively better since you first posted. I think it is awesome you are competing. Better luck next time! 546

Just doesn't post a lot. XD It's funny how he is getting a false reputation for being inactive even though he logs in pretty much every day. Poor guy. 551
DSL TC Showcases / Re: powerraves DSL briefcase« on: November 06, 2011, 09:51:33 AM »Skin is awesome. Agreed. That skin is awesome. Good thing that it's an angled horizontal spinner rather than an angled Vertical spinner or it would have been against Foxpets rules. owait... if the weapon is angled is it technically neither horizontal or vertical? :P I guess I find that rule kinda silly now. 552

Hahah. I can't believe you remember that. XD Someone send a message to Hypnodisc2010. His wait is over! Sonny: Looks awesome. Totally beats my Canadian Flag version. 553

Edit: Whoops. I probably should be more constructive than that... or I will be Naryar'd. Awesome build. Tough to make something unique in Stock that really stands out. You have done just that. 554

General Support / Re: How to skin a titanium skirt?« on: November 05, 2011, 01:58:34 PM »
Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be a simple BMP image file edit like I am accustomed to. I think you will have to learn to edit the GMF file that is associated with the skirt. I haven't learned how to do that. But I think that Sonny and GK have asked/learned about that in the past on the forum. Look for the thread that Sonny asks about editing GMF files (he does that alot for his replicas) and I think you might find your answers.
Also, I had no idea about the delete components with the delete key either. Started doing that today, holy carp that saves a ton of mouse miles when deconstructing a lousy build to make modifications. :P 557
Discussion / Re: DSL Stops Responding And Stops Working.« on: November 05, 2011, 12:54:55 PM »Go into the task manager (if you know how to do that :P) and go into 'Processes' and look for the game and see how much CPU it's using. You can access the task manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete... then select "Start Task Manager". With that you can do what Ty said... check the CPU usage of RA2 as well as the memory usage as well. What is also handy about that, is you can see which programs are using a ton of memory or processor resources. If you are running a program that is taxing your machine and not leaving enough resources for RA2 you can nail the culprit and turn it off. Be careful though, don't turn off anything that is vital to your machine. But you can shut down commonly taxing programs like Skype or poorly coded chat programs to free up resources for RA2. Good luck. 558
Discussion / Re: DSL Stops Responding And Stops Working.« on: November 05, 2011, 11:09:02 AM »
Do you know how to go into your task manager and see if the resources are being pushed too hard?
I'm asking first because I don't want to type it all out if you already know. :P 559
Off-Topic Discussion / Re: MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE« on: November 05, 2011, 11:02:15 AM »Off-topic, but I've seen BNL live twice. The first in Liverpool in which we met Steven Page (the former front man. A bit stuck up, I must say) and in Cambridge we met Tyler Stewart (the drummer) in Cambridge's city centre. A bloody lovely fellow, I must say Haven't seen BNL live but I enjoy their "Rock Spectacle" live album. Do you have it? MCR does nothing for me. I vaguely remember their being a MCR song on Rock Band for 360... or maybe it was Lego Rock Band... I have not played either in a while, that's not a good thing. I should remedy that soon. 560
Real Robotics Discussion / Re: What robot combat merchandise do you have?« on: November 05, 2011, 10:25:48 AM »
Sold most of my BB toys on ebay a couple years back.
Still have: Minion Radio Controlled Bot Killerhurtz Radio Controlled Bot El Diablo Radio Controlled Bot Also have Robot Wars arenas of destruction for PS2... it is the PAL Euro version and I had to get a special PS2 hack disc/card in order to get it to work on my NTSC North American PS2. It was kind of a lot of money and effort to play one damn game. But, it entertained me for weeks until I learned about RA2. The rest is history. Oh, and I have a Biohazard keychain. It has been on my keys for something like 10 years now. Lifter arm mechanism still works, all the stickers are worn. When I am waiting in line at the grocery store I fool around with it and lift crap with the mini-lifter. :P |
