Not really. The original one already has a tendency to steer away from the center anyway. This one's also wonky, but only to a lesser degree.
[Edit] Crap. OHKO from Seppuku 3. I REALLY need to work on my driving. 5383

Yeah. SC did state that in order to get the clone right, the chassis needs to be exactly 27.9kgs. So most of the weight saved was by shrinking the Snapper II section and its chassis height. Took me 30+ tries, but it was worth it. XD

The SnS needs a longer reach. Remove 2 flamers, attach the other set on flails, then use the weight to extend the DSL bar and use the other attachment point of the sledges. :D

A good HS needs to have symmetrical weapons. Yours can pull off a Mauler. :P

The rear still looks kinda odd to me, but the front sure looks intimidating. Good job! Try using a rectangular chassis instead of a 'T' chassis so you can mount all motors inside, and try to give them Hypnos (not necessary, but preferred) as well. :D

Also, you can use a medium ME instead of 2 extra extenders for the plow. Same weight with infinitely more HP. The beater bars should also be fixed so that the lower bars can also deal damage. And you could probably attach the flamers onto a skirt hinge instead of using DSL bars and such. But overall, it's quite nice. :D

Uh-oh. I spot a problem. The sides aren't protected enough (and that's where most HSes hit first). use a Snapper II to attach the plates and you can get some weight for more casters for the side, or just fix your ramplate attachment so that the outermost plates can cover the edges.

To get away from the attack of the rule of 7, mount the weapon motors first instead of the drive. Also, you don't need such heavy extender work. Put the center anchor at the front and just attach the angler directly to the anchor. And it's better to have the drive shifted to the back, and have the weapon motors slightly lowered.

Downgrade the rear stabilizers to polycarbonate and add a metal hinge wedge in the front. Try to be weight-conservative on the side stabilizers as well so you can upgrade the drive.

It tends to slides around at first, but it gains some grip when the weapon motors fully spin. So yeah, it's not fully invertible, but it moves decently for a HS.
Hehehe. The Snapper II position probably gave that away. XD As for the wedginess, Wipeout has great wedges (and those are blue wedges), and the drive's also bursted. But I'll try to find a way to attach the weapon motors to anchors and see how it fares. :D 5397

Here it is! This is Fission:
Your everyday 36-HS, but with nicely placed weapon motors and a caster for maximum protection. I was kinda amazed that Surge 2 and ArtillerY were still invertible even with components going over the wheels' reach. I tried it here, and it's invertible as well. Kewl. And here's a slightly more exciting bot, Apophysis: 2 blacks, 4WD, 8 razors and 8 maces, 2 plows. Inspired by Sage's juggler, I tried to improve it and add my own twist into it, but the evil wedge problem again. It can only rival Infra's. D: 5399

You could probably remove the 2 topmost casters and find some more weight to give it rubbers. |
