the government does NOT make any products or goods
ummm. yea. its called
goods and services. the government provides many services. (Schools, anyone?)
and they make us pay taxes cause people like ACAMS wouldnt pay for stuff like that. i mean, think about it: who wants to give up their money to help someone else? (besides the really nice people, not many) the government uses taxes to fund the "free" services that we all enjoy. the government protects us from other countries by organizing an army and funding weapon development.
you pay taxes to be part of society, to live in a country with paved roads, protection, and free education through high school.
if you guys think the governement does nothing but take our money, get out of our country. move to africa, for all we care.
our economy is based off goods and services. we pay for the services we cant provide ourselves, and sell our own goods and services so we can pay.
if no one is buying, where does our economy go? downhill. everyone is trying to save up all their money, and more and more people are becoming thrifty.
taxes force us to pay for services, thus, by this reasoning, taxes is what is keeping our economy going. so don't complain. if you think your system is better than the combined minds of thousands of years of ideas, go make your own country.
