DSL TC Showcases / Re: SPARKEYS DSL SHOWCASE« on: February 13, 2010, 10:04:00 PM »You're FAR better at DSL than at Stock. Agreed. But you kinda wasted the drive's potential with those wheels. Use slim motors with Hypnos so you can have a tighter chassis. And use a BSG instead of a Mag since they pack the same punch on a LW (I haven't compared the strengths when lifting SHWs, though), and with the extra weight, add a front stabilizer and probably some static weapons on top. :D 5284

Cheat drive. But they way treads work in RA2 is just like USSR Destroyer's drive. Tons of invisible small wheels with a 'tread' covering the whole thing. The only thing unrealistic about it is its speed.

Don't care about the cheat parts, but putting Technos close together and making them look like a tread is an awesome idea! :D

Those flipper segments look kinda brittle on a HW. Attach the sledges directly to the chassis and find a way to lower your drive, so the whole bot angles downward.

Kewl. Since it's a BW, you might want to try a version with small DS spikes. :D

Not really outweaponed, but Tommy Gun was at the right place at the right time. Kinda looks like a controllable version of eFFe's Wildcard. Try a version using the lightest servos and you could attach more weapons. Not sure if it's that controllable, though.

I dunno, Ion Thruster has pretty good wedges (if Samurai's wedges are good, then IT's wedges are better) despite having the same drive as Blast Lab.

It's fine. Copals are fine for subweight classes (and some LWs as well, depending on the bot type). My CombatAnts 2 prototype uses Astros, but it's kinda too fast for my liking.

Plastic with a tite paintjob lol. It's probably not wedgy enough because either its drive is too weak or the stabilizers are too low to the ground.

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Which one do you like best?« on: February 13, 2010, 03:06:59 AM »I am very good at spelling. From about first to fifth grade, my grandmother would give me a dollar for every spelling test I aced. Sorry about your grandma, dude. But that's life and you still have to make the most out of it (she did her best, and you can return the favor by doing your best). I'm a straight A student when I was in grade school. Then I took the opportunity to enroll in one of the country's best schools. And since all my other batchmates are ex straight-A students as well, I decided not to join the competition and maintain my position as a B-to-B+ ish student. XD OT: I just saw a supercharged '78 Mustang II with a weird wheelie bar near my place. When you're in my country, you don't see those everyday. O_O 5296

Chatterbox / Re: BAYBLADES« on: February 12, 2010, 03:43:36 AM »
I had tons of them stuffed in my tool box and they were all gifts from relatives. I like one particular Beyblade - it was a custom all-metal one with spheres of flint glued to the ends of the disc. Then I manually sharpened the blades to make it look more badass. Then it became more badass when I painted it in chrome. But I was 8 or something back then, so I was kinda inexperienced in hands-on stuff, so I accidentally painted the flint in chrome as well. :P

Does the motor spin upwards or downwards? 5300

Come to think of it, I never tested which setup's faster (faster motor vs. grippier wheels).
But I like both rammers. :P |
