I decided to test this theory out and see what was what. I first built a test bot with 2 HPZ motors and Rubber Wheels for drive, and a pair of DDTs with a 20cm extender and Small Wedge component for flipping. The choice of power for each test was a pair of Supervolts (Stacked, of course), and the equivelant in Pink Batteries: Weight for Weight and Power for Power. I put the test robot in a 3-minute match with Da Dog in the Combat Arena with Hazards turned OFF to test each battery setup, and I tested how high the robot flipped the opponent, and how much battery power was left at the end of the 3 minutes. The 2 Blacks and 16 Pinks gave consistent flipping power throughout the match, but the 7 pinks began to run low quite early on, and the flippers took almost two seconds to fully retract near the end of the fight. From what I can deduce, the 2 Supervolts are not only most efficient weight-wise, but also the best for flipping power. The 16 Pinks offer slightly improved longevity for the power output, but the weight cost is just not worth it, in my opinion.

Right, it must have been the batteries that caused Halitosis to crash (I stupidly named both the normal ant Battery and the hacked Present Of Doom ant battery "Ant Battery"), so I took the innards out, rebuilt it in Standard DSL, and it should now be fine. As such, Bandik has been PMbomb'd. =D

I should probably say welcome back to GF93. My guess is that the ban period expired in a different time zone than yours.

Lol @ The Kronic rep. So much better than GF93's abysmal failure. [end sarcasm mode]

The top 12 robots go through, then they fight in a series on one-on-ones until there's 3. Then there's a loser's melee to determine a 4th to join them, then it's a normal knockount competition. Ninja'd. Damn slow internet.

Subject Change? Y/N Y I'm a bit PO'd that live Formula 1 coverage is being split between the BBC and Sky next year. At least we still get the highlights.

Hammers are terrible weapons in general, 2 Iron Spikes are much better than one hammer. You can still OOTA with the right design, though.

Not installing NAR AI for the one part
I never suggested you should. =) I'll try sorting it out in DSL tomorrow.

Iron Spikes work just as well. Look at Heaven's Sawmill in BBEANS5. A Sledgehammer and Iron Spike have the same HP, but the Sledgehammer weighs three times as much as the Iron spike.

We stopped talking about this six pages ago. the mods are gonna take care of everything in due course.

With the SnS, you should have all your weapons pointing in the same direction your bot's wired to spin when attacking. Hafl those razors are going to do nothing. Sledgehammers are also pretty bad, I'd try Iron Spikes or Maces instead.

I can only guess it's a different component location in the folder. My first guess would be the air tank, since the orange CB in NAR AI turns into the blue one in DSL.

Attaching the ramplates and the wedges to the same extenders is generally a bad move. Try Baseplate Anchors if you can.

The chassis looks a mile high, could be shrunk quite a bit. Also, the wedges are too narrow, so I'd rebuild the chassis so the wedges are wider.
It's just a notch over how high a chassis has to be to fit a ztek
Maybe it's just the pic or my apparent blindness.
And Snapper II's, NFX? You probably mean Snapper 2s.
Ordinarily, yes, but SnapperII's could work if there's not much weight on them.

A chassis only needs to be five clicks high to fit an HPZ.

I would use the DDT's for the wedges, and the SnapperII's for the weaponry. That should make it wedgier. And the back end of the chassis should be shrunk so the HPZ's are right up beside the batteries.
