-Sigh- To answer your previous question without all the hoopla... To create custom decals, you need to create either a BMP, or TGA image file... I recommend that you google in Paint.Net and download it to edit these images unless you have photoshop. Keep in mind though that:
TGA Files are a bit harder to create, but can be used to create transparent decals. BMP Files are easy to make but are always opaque. The file size that you save the image in must be either 12 or 16 KB. otherwise it would show up as a jumbled up image or might crash the game. Go into your Robot Arena Folder or type in C:\Program Files\Infogrames\Robot Arena 2\Texture Library\decals and open up one of those files in the folder. Delete the image and create a new one, then press save as. Make a new name for the image and click save. If it asks you what type to save it as, check the radio buttons that would make the file size either 16 or 12 KB. Then save. Load RA2, go to the decals in the TEAM HQ and you should see your new decal. 523

Everytime a character is unlocked (you guys), And the battle music plays. What is the genra of music that you would lie to play? Keep in mind that I am saying genra in a strict sense; meaning that you should only try to be general. (i.e. classical, rock, etc...).
Give me the specs! If you want you can also simply use the same music for everything. Genra When In Battle (1)- During or before the character's bot's fight. Genra When In Movie Sequences (2)- During a movie after you are unlocked. Note: Your will also have a Final Battle Song near the end of the game's storyboard. This will be an advanced version of (1). Furthermore, I am requesting from you guys a poll as to what I should do with the timing of the music. Should it be during the introduction like the original, or during the battle. Each vote is showed to help me see which person wants what. Thanks for any replies or interests. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. 525

The bot should not only be limited to a baseplate. There should also be a side and top plate grids inside the chassis to give the builder more freedom.

Keep in mind Sage that some people think about the term "Stock" for RA2 differently... I for one think of stock as being the dirt old original, official version of Ra2 with it's official patching from Infogrames. Anything that is an alteration from the original version (that isn't from the official staff) is considered either modified or custom IMO.

By "parts" I am referring to the parts which are placed on the baseplate (like the other bots, anchors for example). They CAN NOT be moved.

New rule has been added: Multibots.
Just like in BBEANS, you are allowed to submit multibots. However, they both are classified the same as the ones in BBEANS and MUST have the same chassis. However, they CAN be different in terms of the way their baseplate setup is, but this MUST NOT be changed once their parts are put down. For example, you can create a spinner and a flipper (both use different "baseplate parts"), but the parts cannot be moved once they are on each of the chassis. |
