This year had its highs and lows for sure. Lots of breakdowns, lots of wall KOs, and lots of cripple fights. On the opposite side of the scale, lots of spinners, lots of effective designs, lots of mischief. Personal favorite moment is when C&B roasted Touro. (The way I got this gif was convoluted so it's laggy)

How much leniency is there going be for upgrades? Is that something you're going to police as season 2 comes round?
As long as the original shape or concept of the robot stays the same, it should be fine. I'd allow S2 Lockjaw to go to season 3 Lockjaw because it keeps the shape and paint scheme despite changing weapon styles, but I wouldn't allow S1 Chomp to go to S2 Chomp because it shares literally nothing with the original. What I'm basically looking for is some sort of key trait that is shared from one form to the next. Or you could just pull a Nightmare and just make small adjustments like adding srimechs.

If you enter Season 1 with a robot, you can upgrade it for Season 2 as well as enter a new one. That's right isn't it, Gulden? Or have I misunderstood too?

Just a clarification, in Season 2, does the robot you enter have to be an upgraded version of your first robot, or can it be something new entirely?
The first robot has to be an edited version. Once you enter it, it stays around until the end. On a side note, I don't think I clarified that people who didn't enter season 1 can still enter season 2. So you don't necessarily have to enter a second robot either. And even further off topic, RA2Winner denied.

In terms of showcase inactivity, would it be possible to implement a post-based karma system? People can give a bot a 'thumbs up' or something. At the end of each month or week, a gallery of top 'thumbed' bots can be published, featuring (in theory) something from each meta? If I was able to access some form of data sheet for each months posts and their ratings I'd be quite happy to put these presentations together.
I feel like this could be a perfect replacement for BOTM. Heck, we could keep the acronym. Just call it Bot s of the month.

I'm colorblind too, don't worry.
However, the entire hammer setup is extremely bulky and not good on the eyes.
The front wedges also suffer from eye burn. I'd say try to get the wedges to connect with the chassis and try to shrink the hammer as much as possible.

I'm probably going to make enemies with everyone here by posting my opinion on MLP, but I'd say it's not for girls.
Rather, I'll say it's for kids. Extremely cheesy, but if you get past the feminine aroma it gives off, you'll hate it for other reasons.
I still love myself some cheesy TV every now and then, though.
I say as Beyblade: Metal Fusion plays in an alternate tab.

The second robots are accepted once the first season begins. Basically sign-ups and SBV will be occurring at the same time.
