There's been an update to the rules about realism.
It has been changed from:
** = Realism is what we aim for. If me or KOS believe that the robot is not realistic enough, you'll be asked to change the bot.
To:
** = Realism is what we aim for. Realism ONLY applies to how the bot manoeuvres. The way it's designed doesn't matter too much however, we can still disqualify you if we have a good reason too. If me or KOS believe that the robot is not realistic enough, you'll be asked to change the bot.

Are you still doing the tutorial videos?
Yes. I will be doing them myself because I have a much sexier voice than KOS. DP, lol
It took 5 hours and two failed prototypes, but I have emerged with a finished robot! (Image removed from quote.) no clue how heavy it is but considering its pretty darn big i'd class it in the superheavies.
Yeah that might be too heavy/big
If you upload it to the workshop and send me the link, we'll compare it with our own. Awesome, some new entries. So, when is this going to happen? I live in the UK so GMT please ^^
The new dates will be reconsidered by myself and KOS. We'll post them when we've decided. Firstly, welcome RoboBowler and Tibsy. You two and Badnik can send me your bots so me and KOS can decide what weight class they'd go in. We're not saying that they are your final entries, we're just comparing them with our own so you can get an idea of what size your robot has to be. I'll make the tutorials in the morning.

Badnik you bugger, I can't believe I missed this!
It's funny that this should come up, I was going to take a game design course in the new year. I'm trying to specialise in level design, I could help design stages if you need it.

Right.
I'm back, don't know for how long. I'm currently using my grand dad's computer. I only have half a day to use this but hopefully, my computer will be fixed on Sunday. Videos will come within the next week if my computer starts running on Sunday. If not, it'll be next week.
Sorry for the delays.

I've always wanted to see Mr Daniels make a return. Or Ounce... Or even G.K. It'd be interesting to have a talk to him about how I was back in 2009.

Play around with things and see how you get on.
Put it this way, me and KOS had no clue what to do when we first started. We just looked at a couple of videos on Youtube just showcasing some flippers.
Then we just messed around and got a flipper and HS working in our first day. (It did take us about 4 hours of constant playing though)
If you really are stuck, me and KOS can help you by showing you on KOS's server. You'll need Hamachi though.
Or, we could make videos... Which would you guys prefer?

=========================================== GARRY'S WARS - Administrated by Mouldy and RoboBowler. Moderated by KOS, Badnik, Ounce and Kossokai. Based upon the idea of Robot Wars and Jonzu's Garry's Mod Robots=========================================== Welcome to Garry's Wars, the new and fun way to battle robots! We all come on to fight our own creations. We have tournaments of different sizes and with different building rules. Addon tools so that we can create extra destructive/stylish looking machines and finally, custom maps created by members of the community to fight on! (But mainly Robo's). The server is up all the time so robots can be made whenever. Minimal Gmod knowledge is needed to make robots but it does help. A large majority of people on the server are very good with the addons that are used so most people can help you with things. Tournaments happen whenever (normally when there is a large group of people in the Discord VC). Friendly matches also occur extremely often. Some tournaments are more structured though, normally, replicating a similar style of tournament creation found on here (GTM). https://discord.gg/UFEEY4eI removed the entire old post because it's extremely outdated. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/garryswars^ For all your Garry's Wars needs.

Well Jonzu... This is mighty impressive however... Me and KOS have been hard at work on the idea of a Garry's Mod GTM Tourny... Not only have we made all of the rules, we've made our own robots and trust me, these are pretty good. They'll be showcased in the new topic here: https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=17081.msg662412#msg662412Welcome to Garry's Wars!

You'll most likely have to install it over DSL3 With Wham's Pack.
However, I do believe they are going to be in the same pack so you don't need to install Wham's as well.
