and what is DSi anyway?
Basically a normal DS but with a camera and a few very basic applications like a voice recorder. Same buttons, same layout.
And no GBA port either, sadly. That's what encouraged me to stick with my old DSlite until the 3DS came out.

I felt like doing this one :P
We've travelled to London, Tokyo, now we go to New York
(Image removed from quote.)
Not much in the way of hazards - Works more as a table top arena :P Falling into the tracks and going too far up the stairs will eiliminate a bot (Might include the trains as the hazard for the tracks though, question about that later) And the vending machine could fall on a bot I guess :P Advanced PY'ers, would you know if it would be possible to code a node object to travel from just 2 points (one at one end of the tunnel, and another at the other) and make it possible for it to travel between these points every, say, 20 seconds? Like a train would :P If so I might work on the trains
Anyway, thoughts? :D Dunno what one to do next but hopefully wont be too far away :P
Ah, I didn't notice this until now, actually- it's not too bad, but it's a bit cramped, and in some cases not that accurate. In some areas (In particular with the single stairs, very narrow tunnels, its relatively small size for a double-sided station platform, and general lack of subway-esque paraphernelia like support pillars or seating), it feels more like a basement. That's not to say it's bad at all though- far from it. I feel that it could be improved visually in some ways to make it look more like a dilapidated station. Perhaps this sort of style for the walls and platform might work? I could imagine turnstile gates at one end, and blocked-off stairs at the other.

I'll dig out one of my old Gameboy titles to discuss- Mortal Kombat 2, for the Gameboy. Whilst the other Gameboy Mortal Kombats were, for the most part, pretty crap (In particular MK4 on the Gameboy Colour), this one's actually pretty good. It's fast, fluid, the music's good, pretty much all the special moves are in there, and improving on the shambolic "Kick him once and he dies somehow" Fatalities the original MKGB had, they've brought in some of the main Fatalities from the console games- it's undeniably a good feeling to use Scorpion's one to burn a particularly annoying opponent to death. :P One thing that did annoy me though was that a good portion of the cast consisted of recolours, and some of the other ones were cut altogether- no Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Baraka or Raiden. That being said though, If you're a fan of fighting games, I'd definitely recommend giving it a look.

I've tried that on other crusher bots aswell but it barely works when AI'd imo :')
Anyway, here is the new Dominator 2:
(Image removed from quote.)
Now a much more accurate size, and the axe can now hit bots with loads more accuracy, and a lot less jumping into the air :P
The chassis is now the wheel guards. It makes for a nice little target to aim for by other robots :P (I like to try and make these 'targets' available on all the replicas to make other robots equal to them when fighting if that makes sence :P)
Fantastic! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better in terms of reps, you've outdone yourself again- I love the look of the new Dominator 2, particularly with how much more accurate it is in terms of size. The paintjob could be a little darker and the red outlines on the flame decals could be a bit thicker, but it's a bloody good replica. Well done again!

And it's actually just a skirt hinge :') (Call it a 'sin', but not the first time I've been considered for one :P) As I said I was playing with the idea but a working crusher barely does anything as opposed to the static claw/rammer version :)
What I did with mine was to put it on a standard green burst motor, normally in the down position. Then once it fights, it can move up, and then snap back down again for a crushing effect. Wasn't much, but it was pretty decent. :P

i thought HD vs nasty warrior was a grand WTF
Agreed- it won by falling apart. Honestly, what else needs to be said about it?

Here she is:

Been working on that claw all ****ing day! Finally got something that I'm really happy with!
Works extremely well as a rammer, can charge at a robot and flip them over or badly damage them. I was playing with the claw idea, however I decided the range available with the robot wouldn't be enough to cause any proper threat, plus the AI still needs refining, so it wouldn't work properlly when AI'd.
However, I'm extremely proud with how this turned out! :)
That definitely has to be one of the best replicas I've seen on here in a long while, man. Very well done. "What's the word? PLUNDERBIRD!"

ripping tooth looks fine IMO.
It's alright, but it's a little small, in my opinion. Something like the setup on my old Plunderbird replica might work well- - consists of a long extender, a small beater bar, and a Killalot Claw. Accurate in terms of size, and provides a nice illusion of the hydraulic piston connected to the Plunderthocker, which would make use of the silver gap on the top lid.

OMG That's amazing! :D Can't wait to see the finished one! :D
EDIT: Working on a Plunderbird 5 rep :P
(Image removed from quote.)
The ripping tooth is just temporary. It works really well as a rammer :)
Hell yeah, I love the skinning job on it. Only thing of concern though, is that the logos on the front are backwards. Just mirror those and maybe swap the Ripping Tooth for a Killalot claw, and it'd be more or less perfect. And Dogmasher, please stop asking if these are going to be in DSL. It's a seperate pack.

oh, so hes being emo AND unoriginal?
How is that even emo.
"Life is a joke"? "Life is sh**"?
But when you look at it- life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true. You'll see it's all for show, keep them laughing as you go- just remember that the last laugh is on you!

Splendid! There could perhaps be a few more interesting details to the background (Like on the Extreme Destruction menu), but it's definitely looking like a good basis to start out with.

go read some books, you are the only one that controls your destiny. Life has no meaning unless you make one.
And you know what they say- some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad, other things just make you swear and curse. When you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle- and this'll help things turn out for the best... ...aaaaand, always look on the bright side of life.

oh man the comments on this video
absolute gold.
"Me Combot not nice dino- ME BASH BRAINS." Seriously though, wow. I mean, wow -it's like a PETA demonstration, except with robots instead of Tanooki Suits. Bloody hysterical to see them getting that worked up over it, though. :P

however I'm thinking of making a police siren sound for them when wired up :)
Man, that'd be fantastic for making a Roadblock replica. :P

Been working on this one nearly all day xD
Scoop is now correctly proportioned, now a bit bigger in size, now has the top box instead of the weird inside stuff, and most importantly, it's lifter cage now lifts with the scoop, instead of just the scoop lifting up :P
Still need to work on some bursts for it as it can barely lift itself atm, but other than that, the majority is done! :)
And I figured it needs the axe other wise it's useless at causing any damage to other robots :P
Fantastic! It looks so much better than it did in DSL2. If it's all right to ask, how big is it compared to some of the other replicas?

Definitely. If someone could remake that in RA2, I'd probably build them a statue. :P

Wario Ware Touched
Ah, I've got this. Pretty good it is, too. Talking of Warioware, I'd also like to mention Warioware Inc.- Mega Party Game$ on the Gamecube. Whilst not so much cop in single player, it's fantastic in the multiplayer modes- the "Listen to the Doctor" game in particular is hilarious. XD
