Swap the Redbirds to RADs and make it invertible.
Is it faster with RADs?
It's roughly the same speed. And there's less power drain, so your batteries last longer. AND it's lighter, so you have more weight to add weapons. Swap the Redbirds to RADs
WAITWHATNO
Drop the pinks and make them HP Z-teks.
On this, RADs would be good enough. The weapons would still spin quickly if they spin in the same direction as the bot, and there would be less power drain and weight used.

It gives you a greater reach at less weight. Plus Razor Tips have no normals, so they cause damage with whatever part they hit the opponent with. Same for Maces and Iron Spikes. EDIT: Ninja'd.

They're Standard Z-Teks. =)
And it's not too bad. Tempus Fugit has the same components, but a Snapper-mounted setup, so the motors spin faster (yay RA2 Physics). You should probably try to make it invertible, though.

It's what's known as the eFFe glitch. If you hover a component over another component that's attached to a motor, spin/fire the motor and THEN attach the component, the component will be floating in space, allowing you to build without other components getting in the way.

giraffe won fair and square, I don't see what this bitching is about
Hardly bitching, it won fair enough, it's just beyond me why it did when there where much better bots to vote for.
Not every BOTM entry has to be combat efficient.
I am in complete agreement with this, but for an artbot, the giraffe was pretty bad. If it had a decent skin, then there might have been more of a reason to vote for it.

I didn't vote for HoJ, E-Rupt, NWB and RPB.

I'll tell you what, I'll let you give the giraffe a decent skin and make the splash for it again. I've got no problem with it at least being skinned well.

You do know that normal zteks pull just as much power as hpzteks, right?
Not according to the Beetlebros. page, they don't... Z-Tek Motor - Input: -200 HP Z-Tek Motor - Input: -400

It could work, it could work.. look I even expertly combined the 2 splashes..

trololol. Nice work, Joe. =D I wonder if using pink batteries might have been a bad move, considering how phobic people have been of using them in anything above AW. But if it works, it's a nice find. Hopefully this month's BOTM will return to a more serious nature, rather than voting humor for the sake of voting humor.

Few pointers here. First of all, mixing Stock and DSL is frowned upon, as is using cheatbot2 (Judge Burst can be justified in IRL building), and custom component, excluding Smartzones (Needed for most AI .py files to work). Try to see what you can build sticking to the standard DSL components first. =)

Off to the dentist to get a filling replaced. You all behave while I'm gone. =D

At least mine made it to the final twice. =D
I sketched out an idea for the chassis on Wowot, but it requires BFE'ing the chassis points, which I don't know how to do properly. I'll try and take a look into it, and hopefully I'll be able to make it work in due time.

We've only got three eighths of the videos left to go. =D Nice work, JoeBlo. I'll give the new videos a watch when I get back from the dentist.

Now this is a challenge. =] I really like the restricting components idea.

I think there would be something seriously wrong if I DIDN'T get Unluckiest Bot after what happened. At least I can take something away from this. =) Congratulations to everyone who won something.
