Not too bad. Would it work better at trapping if the plows were the other way up?

That's kinda similar to the way I posted a while back. But nice find, I imagine it should help a few people. =)

From what I can tell, there seems to be a limit of components you can have on for hax mode to work fully, when I built my haxmode pop up, I found I had to delete some things before it would let me stack all the DDTs into each other like I wanted.

Also, random thing which i've just remembered, hax mode doesn't work if you've attatched the piston to another motor.

But it does work if you attach the piston to a SmartZone. =D Which really helps with the tiny chassis's and such.
Yeah, I think it's just when it's on a moving component, it must mess up the....thing....that happens....I really don't get why hax mode works XD
One other thing, I'm not 100% sure, but I think you also need to have the axle itself inside the chassis
Nope. Axle can be attached to the SmartZone too. =) But make sure you don't attach it to the central point, because you can't actually select it if you do.

It's not too bad. Every spin motor, even the Dual Perm, only needs one ant battery to work at full speed, so you need at most 4 ants instead of 8 battlepacks. You would probably want something like 2WD NPC's with Hypno Wheels for a HW Spinner such as this one, and you could either try to stick another pair of hammers on the end of the ones you have already, or upgrade the armour if the chassis's going to be so exposed, or both.

I've just tried Fire -> Axle, and Axle -> Fire on one of my test bots, and neither of them seemed to work. And that got me wondering, are there any components which don't effectively lose the collision mesh if they've already been attached before Hax Mode is activated?

NFX, is your offset in the length or the width direction of the black?

EDIT: Holy ****, I just stacked two together using your method NFX, I would +rep you if I knew how to.

It can be both, but it's normally the width (the side with the black and red squares) that I can get it to work with.

And I'm glad I could help. =D

I think you can shave off that chassis more. Try making more block shapes instead of angled shapes.
I did try this to start with, but the points wouldn't go close enough together to give me an angled shape like that. Not sure how much weight I'd save with that either.

So Garvin has been killed by inf.
Oh well. :gawe:
I think you're going to like this.  It's a clusterbot; I made three   cardboard replicas for this one.  This is √3, designed to look like a   racecar when the 3 bots hook together.  They've got magnets hidden under   their shells that allow them to link up to each other like the real   thing.
(Image removed from quote.)
Ooh, very clever indeed. =D Nice idea with the magnets as well.

SnapperII's can be stacked, provided you axle load the axle out of the way first. Just takes about 12 weeks to get it to work, but it is doable.

First of all, I go into the Chassis or Overview tab, then zoom all the way in on a direct top-down view. Then I switch to Components, and attach the first Supervolt while still zoomed all the way in. It'll jump back out to normal zoom once you've clicked the mouse, regardless if you attach the component or not, but once it's attached in max zoom, I go back into Chassis/Overview, zoom all the way in again, rotate the chasssis by 90 degrees, and then try to attach the second Supervolt.

Unfortunately, it's pretty much just trial and error that works with stacking (Unless you use hax mode, lol), with varying tolerances depending on what components you're trying to stack, but the two Supervolts you're trying to stack need to be exactly in line on one axis, and slightly offline in the other.

Hope that helps. =)

Here's what it looks like now:

Swapped the rubbers for shinies, and flipped the RAD's around so the axle was at the back for better balance. Also added a plow and ice pick for frontal protection. Same internals, but the SnapperII isn't raise off the baseplate this time. Works slightly better inverted, but it only has Plastic armour. 399.0, though. =D Take that, weight limit.

Cool. =) It's quite nicely built, but I don't like it that much for some reason. I wonder if it's the odd angle of the Face Spinners.

Unfortunately, I think I've gotten the chassis as small as I can without using Hax Mode. If I could shave an extra 1kg off somewhere, I would go Shinies + Plow, but the only thing I can think of is dropping to Plastic...

I LOVE how Garvin put the word "Congratulate" in inverted commas during his letter to inf. XD
