Ok, I'll have a chat with him. In the meantime, what do I put for my bot's frequency? The base of the bot is a toy car with 24 and some random decimal Mhz, but that isn't one of the options.

Who is it?

1 is more aesthetically pleasing, but 2 is better built. 4 has my sympathies, that sucks, but good on you for being resourceful. Hmm, now who to vote for?

I believe that was the first match it had actually done. No clue though, perhaps someone from Britain can chip in.
I believe what happened was the magnets on the bottom of the robot wouldn't allow it to move enough. Could be wrong though.
In the Battlebots arena, the metal panels weren't bolted down, just held in place by gravity. So when Beta fired its axe, it yanked the panel right out. Consequentially, they weren't allowed to use the magnet, so they forfeited their first match. It was such a good looking robot, and apparently its hammer was a lot more powerful than The Judge, so I was quite remiss when i couldn't find any fights of it.

Has Beta ever fought? I know they didn't work in the final tv season of Battlebots but I haven't heard about them appearing after that.

The DSL mod includes some antiballasts of much more reasonable denominations.

If the MIT convoy is going, then definitely. If I'm on my own for transportation, then I'm not so sure. Plane tickets are a lot more expensive than I thought, quite steep for an insect competition.
I hace started building an antweight though, that will take part in some competition someday.

And people wonder why I'm so set in spending less than $40 on my antweight

Anything in the AI teams can just be copied into your "Robot Designs" folder, and boom, it's playable.

There are now 2 robots named Prometheus in the HW class.
Discuss.
Also First Lefts got replaced with Brutality. Guess they couldn't finish it in time.
I propose a moratorium on the following robot names: Spin Doctor Black Widow Spike Prometheus Zeus Thor Twister Hammerhead Cyclone

if it is a single drill, i also assume it will be kinda weak combat-wise.
The drill was just a gimmick to give it personality. The real weapon was its brute force - it weighed 1.5x as much as its opponents, and its walking mechanism was almost as efficient as normal wheels - in theory walkerbots have compromised mobility, but Drillzilla was almost as efficient as a wheeled bot.

It would be possible if there was a motor that spun in an elliptical pattern - no clue if that's actually possible.

Well that's a shame.

I should forewarn you, no one's made a drillzilla replica that "shuffles" like the real one, mine just has really small wheels that exploit the imprecise collision meshes to make it appear to be shuffling.

X-Bot. It's a static sheet wedge so not very imaginative design but an interesting and cool looking shape.

If you have no numbers in the "weapons" section, your bot thinks it has no active weapons and will act accordingly. You know how each component in your bot has a number, ie the first one you place is #1, second is #2, etc? That's what the numbers in the "weapons" section means. When all of the corresponding components have broken off, your bot switches to weaponless mode, where it cautiously moves back and forth at the opponent. If you never want it to go into weaponless mode, put in a number that corresponds to something attached to the baseplate, like a battery.

Thanks for doing that so fast Mike, and so fast! Here's the one I've been waiting with bated breath to see, the death of Spring Cleaning
