It happens. Happened to me, which is why i allways export my designs and put it in a back up folder. I usually have them all backed up, but I was using the back-ups.

Well I have good news, and I have bad news. (good and bad for me anyway)
I have gotten it working again, somehow...
but I also inadvertantly lost all my bots. I'm guessing I must have overwrote them, but forgot to back them up first.
May my lost robots Rust in peace...

That is actually how I got DSL 2.1 in the first place, but I'm trying to reinstall it. Edit: This p---es me off, it worked but I just HAD to reinstall it, just so i could play the better events...

I had DSL 2.1 installed and it worked fine, except the events were the ones from the stock version. This i felt was rather annoying, so I reinstalled it. Before reinstalling I removed the Teams folder, Custom Textures folder, and the Robot Designs folder and place them on my desktop.
So I went ahead and extracted the files from the .rar file again to the folder that DSL 2.1 was in. Then placed the Teams, Custom Textures, and Robot Designs folders back into it, replacing the corresponding
newly extracted folders.
I tried to play an event, but when it started I noticed the AIs didn't move and then a few seconds later the game crashed.
I tried to open it again, and the same thing happened.
So, what is going on?

Hey Sage, you should have done top 5 n00bs, too. n00b being someone that has been here less than six months.
Edit: I didn't get any votes did I? I highly doubt it but can't help but wonder.

I know this is a bump, but I like the KotH matches. That's should be why you have more than a single bot you play constantly.
For example here are my bots and their intended uses:
Hang Tough - Deatmatches and Rumbles
Bulldozer - Tabletop and KotH
The solution is simple to all of you that don't like KotHs. Build a powerful pushbot. Then we could even have KotH tournaments.

Yeah, I would be alot happier with the DSL one if I could fit another battery or 2 in it. Although it hasn't run out of power yet. I would skin the scoop, but I'm lazy and not sure how to go about it.

what are you trying to do for video editing? Live action videos? Music Videos? Effect videos? Because unless you want some complex stuff, WMM is fine. I'm became very competent at WMM before i switched.
Premiere is a hard program to use, the next step up from WMM is really sony vegas.
Look up those programs on youtube. Be like, "photoshop cs4 for free" and then look at the comments. if they look good, try that video. I have used Premiere before, and i actually like it better.

Adobe offers huge discounts for qualifying students and teachers. They offer most of their products under education licences. You might qualify. I trust you are still in school?

Thats your best bet, good luck. Well, I'm kind of in between at this point. I graduated high school in May, but I want to pay tuition to go back to the vo-tech in our district for my 2nd year of graphic arts. Then after that, go to a local community college. Thanks for the tip!

He tried to go to 9, but then a ninja from Atari smashed through his roof and ripped his lungs out. We were left with this cryptic message PM'ed to all who were thought to be "threats" to this sacred rule: "Thou shalt not break the 7 extender limit."
We haven't seen much of Apanx since, as he is still in hiding, but every now and then, he finds a way to share his heretic discoveries with us. Holy crap! I didn't know Atari made RA2. lol

Well, I have a few select Adobe programs I have in mind:
Photoshop (of course)
Acrobat (obviously)
Illustrator (for creating vector images)
InDesign (for publications)
Premiere (for video editing, it's MUCH better than Windows Movie Maker)
