Real Robotics Discussion / Re: Combat Robot Hall of Fame - who you gonna vote for?« on: July 25, 2011, 01:43:50 PM »Not always the case, though- Cassius got in quite handily in 2007, as did Terrorhurtz in 2009. Granted Terrorhurtz had also competed in Roaming Robots and Robots Live (IIRC), but still- does prove that there is still some life left in the old greats. On an initial thought, I think Mortis should be upgraded to full Membership. Hence I figured I'd go with Mortis- great technological innovation involved in its design, a pioneer for tracked fighting robots, excellent staying power, and was pretty destructive to boot- its axe could strike three times a second, with the force of a .38 Magnum fired at Point-Blank range. Also, its achievements- Best Engineered award in Series 1, Semifinalist in Series 2, War of Independence Champion of Series 4, Most Aggressive Robot Award winner in Battlebots, took out Tazbot, and reached the Last 16 twice. 4825

Although I personally wouldn't be so sure- that disc, depending on its speed, could very well take off MA's wheels if it's not careful. 4827
Tournament Archives / Re: Robotic International Wars Season 1 Signups« on: July 25, 2011, 12:09:35 PM »None of my bots go far, full stop, no matter how good they are.OK then, although people have probably already seen it- This is Morbid Angel- it already took the honour of taking the silver medal in Tag Team Tussle, so I wanted to see how it'd do in a solo tournament. As such, it's one of the few robots around here that's been entered into two completely different tournaments. It's got a new, cooler paintjob, and a few other factors changed around to improve it. 4828

Tournament Archives / Re: General Tournament Discussion« on: July 24, 2011, 05:27:32 PM »Quoted for truth- as long as half of the representatives are not English, with the other nations only getting one each XDI have an idea to throw out to the rest of you people. Why don't we do a world championship. One for Stock and another for DSL?That's certainly an interesting idea - what weightclass though? 4835
Tournament Archives / Re: Robotic International Wars Season 1 Signups« on: July 24, 2011, 05:09:00 PM »Alright enough with the off topicSuppose. But the idea of it...it's like making a CGI movie of Rollercoaster Tycoon- it just doesn't sound like it'll work, even less so with no Pinkie or Fluttershy (I knew two of the Mane cast were missing- I think it's those two, but I'm not certain). Anyway, am looking forward to seeing how Morbid Angel does. 4836

Challenge Board / Re: GF vs Ashman- Rep Wars Revisited« on: July 24, 2011, 03:55:40 PM »And likewise, here is my entry- "From Suffolk, Cassius II" The long-awaited reappearance of the Series 2-runner up and Replica Wars Bronze Medal-holder, Cassius II has since been completely redesigned, with new air suspension, a much-improved flipper, fast, nimble and very powerful, capable of delivering a speedy knock-out blow to any in its path! Motors from lawnmowers, will this cut our challenger down to size?" 4840
