Can't you just attach the ddts to the back of the snappers without the extenders? Then you can make the ramplates come out more.
Ummm..... you do know that you pretty much can't attach anything to the hidden AP without an extender right?

AS is correct. The ramplates are probably mounted too close to the chassis. The impact of a heavy HS, or probably a rammer of some kind will force the ramplates to flex back momentarily, exposing the chassis and allowing the opponent to inflict damage. Simply moving the SnapperII's forwards a little will solve this problem. Very good build aside from that, though. Internals?
I can't move the snapper II more forwards anymore, it's already at max. Internals:

Quintet post Here's the new version of Re_Birthday 3: 8 Razors, 3 blacks, obviously DSA. It has an awesome wedge (on par with Insectoid), but, HSes CAN MAGICALLY HIT THROUGH THE RAMPLATES AND HIT THE CHASSIS.

Wow, you ate Mikado!
Just a snack
Try Shiva and Claymore next! (tip: change your wedge to small wedge's to get a higher chance of eating them). Edit: awwwwww yyeeeaahhhhh 777 posts.

I'll be very thankful if my bots would get wiki pages. (Since only Missile Test has one)
Do you have any hugely notable bots? If not, it's probably not worth it, we have a million bot pages - I mean, some of my bots like BO3 and Queen Calypso are 'notable', having won awards/winning, but don't have pages. I wouldn't personally say it's an urgent thing, where there are some really.. not as great.. areas we can improve rather than just spamming new stuff at it.
Don't forget my MW in the 2nd RA2 Olympics.......(Prolly first DSL gutripper poker to win a tourney, won by a newbie)

I'M BAAAAAAAACK and I have new stuff. Never really intended to be gone from GTM for... what was it, a month? Two? It just sort of happened. But I haven't been idle in that time. Here's what's new: - Wheels are 100% done. Rebalanced, more realistically weighted, all have extra attach points on the outside face (except shiny hub), and driving controls are no longer reversed when driving on top of bots or obstacles in the test garage. - This is fixed: (Image removed from quote.) - Meet the new carbon fiber extender. (Image removed from quote.) It now has an attachment point in the middle, because that's just insanely useful. It also has attachment points on all four sides so you don't have to rotate it 90 degrees when it attaches the wrong way because that's just insanely annoying. And it's a tube now instead of a 90 degree angle because this is a more realistic shape, plus it just plain looks better. You have to admit it looked really awkward when you put weapons on the old CF extenders. In addition to all that obvious stuff, there's also some behind the scenes tweaks. The end attachment points are now the same distance from the ends (this distance is 5 cm) so it doesn't matter which attachment points you use. All extenders are now EXACTLY the length they say they are, so for example, 4 20cm extenders won't be slightly longer than 1 80cm extender. And, the skin is no longer stretched on the longer versions. (Image removed from quote.) ^ That is actually a bunch of different extender lengths attached together, yet the skin stays consistent and loops nicely. - And finally: (Image removed from quote.) How many times have you wished for one of these? No more finagling with ugly sideways extenders--the 10cm extender is now available for those times when you just need a really short extender. The aluminum, titanium, and steel extenders will be the same as this, except they'll be square because that is a more common shape in real robots. Polycarbonate extenders are being ditched, because frankly, they don't exist in real life and they look kinda ugly to boot. If you use polycarbonate IRL it's in a sheet, not a rod. Aluminum will be the new 2kg/20cm extender, titanium will be 3kg/20cm, and steel will stay 5kg/20cm.
Ummm.............. 1 question click, if a bot uses wheels that have less than 1 grip (prolly the ant wheels),would it actually slow the bot down?

Just a question.Do you tend to prefer to do mega realistic "this could practically be in robotwars" or efficiency over realisticness or unrealistic, not buildable in real life.Tell us and the advice will be more tweaked.
Please join the Efficiency club, we need more of these.

This is a very strange anomaly in the game mechanics. This happened a few times with my Snap!Happy series of bots, where they would move forwards and backwards okay, but refuse to turn. The one-wheel-turning thing Mr. AS suggested did work, but what I found more confusing was that Z-Teks and Redbirds wouldn't two-wheel-turn the bot at all, but RAD motors - with less torque - did. Maybe Trovaner or someone could shed some light on this, because so far it has confused the out of me.
I've just tried the one-wheel-turning trick, and instead of making the bot turn on it self, it actually turns in circles(like what you will get if you used FBS.py).

But now there's a problem. The bot usually turns ridiculously slow, but sometimes it turns so fast it havoks. Because of this, during AI testing, when the bot starts moving, it'll usually spin out, exposing it's back, and because it's turning is ridiculously slow, it can't face the opponent.
your drive motors are probably too high for the wheels to get any good amount of traction.
But it moves to the front and back just fine.... @090901 I'm sorry, but did you stack the CB in the black in your bot?

you could angle the maces at about 45 degrees so it works better inverted, unless it isnt a problem. it would help with popups anyway though
What do you mean? do i rotate the extender holding the mace 45 degrees or rotate the mace 45 degrees?

uhhhh
you have 360 degrees of coverage
and no hs has enough reach to get to that extender from the front anyway (except possibly the vortex ce rebuild, but it should still get trashed by this)
uhhh they can knock me to the sides and then take it off anyways, here's an MW version (uses the same chassis): 1 Black, 398.9. name is from my new favorite singer/duet/band/whatever: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ClariS
