My two entries have been added, and a poll as well to gauge whether everyone's fine with the ruleset, as there have been some minor tweaks in places.

Tournament Archives / [DSL-S MW] MASTERS OF DISASTER 2 - SIGNUPS FULL [64/64]« on: March 03, 2018, 08:11:03 PM »![]() RULES Game - DSL 2.2 Realistic Rule - DSL Standard Weightclass - Middleweight (249.0 - 399.0) 64 robot entries. You can enter a maximum of six robots per person. If you can't AI I will try my best to AI for you, just don't complain about it if your robot doesn't win. You can't enter until I have received and accepted your robot. BUILDING RULES If the game says it's a Middleweight then it's allowed. Component Freedom is banned, but the Rule Of Seven Break is allowed. Only in game glitches are allowed - eFFe Glitching, Axle Loading and Snapper Loading. No external editing at all - BFE, AAM and so on. Robots with tracks get no weight cushion. No scuttlers, crawlers or walkers. Multibots are banned. You can upgrade your robot or send a new one as much as you like until signups end. The IRL packs that DSC has been making are allowed, as are Geese's fixed NPC motors. Banned components: Cheatbot2, Mechavore disc, Microvore disc, Moros blade, Frenzy hammer, Minion disc, and Overkill blade. BATTLE RULES 3 minute fights. Masters Of Disaster Arena with hazards on. If a robot havoks then I will restart the match. I will keep restarting until there is a havok-free match. Fights with havoks will not be shown. The tournament will be broken into two stages. In the first stage, robots will be broken into sixteen groups of four. The four in each group will face each other twice, like a dual Round Robin format. 3 points for a win by knockout. 2 points for a win by points. 1 point for a loss by points. 0 points for a loss by knockout. The single highest scoring robot will advance through to the next stage. In the case of a tie for first place, a final rumble will be held, the winner of which will advance. From here on out it is single elimination 'Best Of X' rounds. The winners of each group will face the winner of the opposite group. (A/P, B/O, C/N, D/M, E/L, F/K, G/J, H/I) Round Of 16 - Best Of 3 Quarter Finals - Best Of 5 Semi Finals - Best Of 7 Grand Final - Best Of 9 The winner of the Grand Final is crowned the ultimate Master Of Disaster. ENTRANTS
Accepted. Rejected. Open space. MY ENTRIES ![]() The plan is to run this is tandem with Scrapheap Challenge 3 since I reckon I'll be able to get that completed while MOD2 is still in signups given how long it took last time. Also this is just a copy/paste of all the stuff from the first Masters Of Disaster, so feel free to call me out on anything that doesn't make sense, because I might have missed something. 491
Tournament Archives / [DSL-S MW] SCRAPHEAP CHALLENGE 3 - SIGNUPS FULL [24/24]« on: March 03, 2018, 07:35:04 PM »![]() RULES Game - DSL 2.2 Weight - Middleweight Realistic Rule - DSL Standard 24, 32, or 48 entrants. (See battle rules.) Two entry robots per person, may open this up to three per person if there is enough popularity. If you can't AI I will do it for you, just don't complain about it if your robot doesn't win. No scuttlers, crawlers, walkers, or SNS robots. Multibots are banned. You can upgrade your robot or send a new one as much as you like until signups end. Nothing from Cheatbot2, you know that. You MAY NOT use more than one of the same component on your robot, this includes all batteries, wheels, weapons, everything. This means that using 2 extenders of the same length IS NOT allowed, but using different lengths IS allowed. BATTLE RULES 3 minute fights. Scrapheap Challenge Arena (Official Robot Arena 2 Tournament Arena with a totally boss skin.) Hazards on. If a robot havoks then I will restart the match. I will keep restarting until there is a havok-free match. Fights with havoks will not be shown. Single elimination bracket, head to head, no rumbles or melees. If we only get 24 entries (Like SC2 did.) then we'll have a Round Of 24, four wildcards, then single elimination, just like Battlebots 2015. Once we have 24 entrants, there will be a final countdown of a few days in order to try and get 32 entrants, if there are less than 32 then we'll run with the 24. Similarly, if I judge there to be significant interest, I'll open up third entries and the tournament will run with 48 entrants like Battlebots 2016. Judging will be done by points scored during the match, as is custom for Standard tournaments. ENTRANTS

Tournament Archives / Re: General Tournament Discussion« on: March 03, 2018, 06:24:29 PM »
Ideas for tournament in the future:
As Yet Untitled Forfeit Format: Meta undecided, weight undecided, etc. Prior to the tournament starting, all the entrants must give me an idea for a building handicap that will randomly be assigned to another member. Examples: "Must use 10 mm Steel chassis armour.", "Must have an odd number of wheels.", "Must not be invertible.", "Must be 25 kg underweight.", "Must use the circular chassis tool.", etc. Forfeits that make it tricky to build but not impossible. Hometown Throwdown (Name likely to change if I get given better suggestions.): Meta undecided, weight undecided, etc. Prior to the tournament starting, all the entrants must give me an arena that will be their "home" arena, no stupid arenas like the Obstacle Course or Mars Arena though. The tournament will be a straightforward double round robin format, where each competitor fights all its opponents once at home in its chosen arena, and once in everyone else's arenas. Once the round robin section is done, the top however many will move onto a final single elimination bracket in a pre-selected arena. Feedback? 493

So I ran the names through a randomiser and put everyone into one grudge match and one rumble each, if you want to choose your three setups and their order for your grudge match and the single setup for your rumble, please do that soon. If not, it'll be another random choice. 495

BW: Mite-Mare: Teeny tiny little baby Nightmare clone that is a lot of fun to throw around. LW: Warmonger: Sexy looking flipper that's pretty resilient and should put up a good fight. MW: Slambulance 2: Comes in three tasty flavours, Hammer, Spinner, and Flipper. Mmm... CW: The Powerpuff Girls: Modular clusterbot, because why have only one complication? HW: Buzz Bomb: Uses a custom 180 degree Etek Drive Motor to power the weapon arm. SHW: In For A Penny, In For A Pounding: Double ring spinner, both halves are pretty effective.
