Front two bursts are normal, rear two are Judge Bursts. I did a fair few experiments with this bot, there's an alt version that died to make this. Experiments included: - using 4 normal bursts (srimech was unreliable in flipping the bot from a realisitic position) - making it invertible, but it was impossible to get the arms low enough without compromising them. - using BSGs for all the flippers. As Somebody pointed out, they needed a mounting system which either shortened the arm too much, or reduced the number of weapons on the ends. In the end I decided to take advantage of the Judge Bursts rule, but instead use them for the srimech/secondary weapon. Drives well, isn't sluggish like CC3 tended to be. And the srimech is very acrobatic, for a SHW bot.

Let's shove this one in Nar's face, shall we? It's effective, it looks good, the chassis is very tight around the components...
lol
npc's would be a better choice imo, saves you quite a bit of weight to use elsewhere whilst still being fast enough
There is that, but I don't want the wheels outside the chassis.
They dont have to be if you place the npcs the right way. NR is npc right and i think you can guess what NL is NR NL NL NL NR NR NR NL See if you can put it like that.
Thanks, I'll give it a try. I'll let you know if I'm successful or not.
I use this method a lot on my bots, you won't get them interlocking tightly, but looking at your bot you should easily achieve keeping the wheels inside the bot.

By the way, don't say that I'm rushing myself. The reason most tournaments run slowly is because the host has things going on in their personal life, so they pace themselves, say they record 1 or 2 matches a day. With me, I record as many as possible in that day mostly because I have no personal life and can use the time to my advantage. I could run 10 tournaments in a month if I tried, but I have no problem with slowing down the production if you guys wish.
If that was relating to my post, then you've misunderstood it, or I wasn't specific enough. I am not talking about the filming of the fights and the speed of the tournaments itself. I was referring to the chaotic nature of the sign ups, which were rushed through, and resulted in the first 3-4 pages of the SBV being you fixing the splashes and people fighting about who should have gotten which spot. THAT is the issue which always seems to be present in these tournaments, hopefully that can be sorted out this time. To sum up, the sign ups are where things need slowing down and organising, not the production and posting of videos. That last part is where you should be commended.

Will be entering, if only to try and change that spectacularly rubbish win-loss record I have. Incoming thoughts: I see no reason as to why Urjak is being brought up as a scapegoat for 'unrealistic' designs. The vast majority of his BB bots are in the spirit of IRL, if a little focused on trying to maximise component efficiency, but are more in keeping with American bots, rather than the 'British/Robt Wars' style most of the members grew up with. Allowing cheatbot2 parts is a good idea if controlled. A good bot can be made to look better with clever use of existing real parts, butas with all these things it's going to be a task to stop things from being exploited. Finally, what I would like to see most from this tournament, or Frieezez in particular, is better organisation, and patience. There's no reason why there should always be a issue with enties unless you're rushing to he to the actual fights. It looks shoddy when it gets so disorganised people are arguing about who deserves what space depending on when they sent their bot. Take your time with the entries, after 4 of these tournaments it shouldnt be a problem like it has been. Still, looking forward to it.

Claiming the "Didn't See It Coming", because everything I entered lost straight away.

Quite happy with the two most recent fights. 2 wins in each isn't too shabby. Although in the other two i lost very badly.

Wouldi t be possible to show a Win/Loss record in the standings Section, because I have lost all idea of who's won what, and how many points they've got from a fight. The videos are very hard to follow in this respect.
Otherwise, glad to see more videos of this. :)

Forgot this, although technically it's not a bot. But yes, had an idea and made a championship belt, seems to have come out well enough.

Mini splash, as i've not been that creative in DSL recently. Can't remember where the AI is that would make the metal hinges stop rotating once the skirts have dropped enough either

Match 4 was probably a little bit of an upset. Match5 was flipping good. I'm surprised and also pleased by Lazy Dog's inability to self right, should bode well for the next round... ... If I make it that far. Won't be too long until I find out I guess.

Well done Click. Disappointed though, should have maybe lost some chassis armour and used meatier hammers. Actually, pretty bummed out about this now.

I think we have a new contender for most useless component in DSL. That cage was pants.

Thank the Lord.
No offense Scrap, but I honestly wouldn't have bothered to watch any other matches with that bot in.

Match 1: A bit of an upset in my book, could be a sign of things to come. Match 2: No real surprise, apart from the 2nd fight where Minionbeetle got to the chassis. Match 3: I think Quark Nova will have troubles coming up against a decent rammer. However if Calm-Assertive's hammers are low enough it'll be a quick exit.

Not gonna lie, some of those bots are painful to watch.
Mine however, seems to be a psychotic bot. It will hug you. And then it will kill you.

Looks like Jack had the same idea as me. FYI, the spinners on 6 Impossible Things spin down. The plan is to hit the opponent, launch myself up, then come down and hit their top. I'm a little worried about Riot Shield's tall front and side hammers though.
My guess when making the bot was that it was going to be choka with spinners. And for the most part that is right. I wanted something different that could withstand a spinner whilst my hammers had a chance to knock discs off. We'll see if that theory holds true soon, I hope.
