Just a little bump, Senstro, TBD and Playzooki - If your updated/new bots aren't received by the time sign-ups is filled (Let's hope is does get filled anyway) and someone else wants to enter I may have to replace you. You have been
I will update the list soonish, whenever I get the time really. EDIT: I updated the list, Camaro Kid accepted and AI'd. Just realised that Red Dust was the bot I was paired against in the first round of BB8, and I think I got lucky. Loving the look of the second one also ![]() 484
DSL TC Showcases / Re: Jake Williamson's showcase of demises« on: April 30, 2014, 05:18:43 PM »First off. Nice to see that the batterys are sorted and you are using the lightest control board. But there is one rather spacey problem, Use the space more wisely and sparingly. If you do go for two NPC Fasts I would start the build again. Mainly because it will give you more weight for a longer bigger faster drum. 100 percent agreed. 485

First of all, the motor is VERY unprotected. (Admittedly the piglet has high hitpoints but my point stands). Your weapon isn't the most effective either as it is quite small. My advice for you would be to:
Use two NPCs (Fasts if you want a really fast bot) And not four magmotors. It is a huge waste of weight and you then don't need to have 5 ants. Then you can add a better weapon motor, a longer drum, and possibly some external armour. Also I think that would need some better motor support in IRL but as mentioned before I can't really tell. A good start nonetheless, but you can make this bot very good if you focus on it. 486

HW would look better with two diagonal supports and possibly a stabliser to hold the bar up. And Maybe slightly smaller wheels.

Upload your bot to the bot exchange, then once it's uploaded, go to download bots and the category your bot is in (Such as DSL MW) and find your bot. Right click on the link, and choose copy link address. Then PM that link to the host of the tourney.

Try to add external armour, (Like Wheel protectors as they are exposed.) If all else fails do what Kurt and Craaig said.

Ah. My apologies. But your bot is 334.1kgs. You have like at least 60 kilos left.

I like this. Well weaponed, neat. Only thing is you have A LOT of weight left. You can use this for some better armour or better drive (I presume by the axles that you're using astros again)
Insides? 498

Possibly angle the motor so the blade is a bit lower perhaps?

Lil wheeler is a lot better. The only thing I fear is that if those wedges get hit, your bot wont be able to function correctly. Maybe try some better wedges like the skirts. Also, try to avoid using the t connectors as they are extremely weak and if hit the whole front of your bot will be missing. (Again the functionality would be affected by this.) I like the look of that wedge-bot though.
Also, 300th post ^^ 500

Maybe try and get the Burst closer to the front of the bot? That way you will be able to hit bots from further away and avoid your chassis taken damage. Other than that it looks pretty good.
What armour does it have btw? |
