Got this game a little while ago, it's really fun.  I just passed the first level where you get to roll up people, it made me lol.

I heard that none of the sequels were any good.  Is it true?

Spyguy: the voice of wisdom. I nearly want to copy this into my sig.

That's Gig's job, remember?
Also, what kind of drive motor are you using, and can you find all the AW/BW parts you need in the stock DSL pack?

Slippery Strana, a lightweight bot with an octopus on the front.  "Strana" is supposed to be a combination of strawberry and banana, some fruit juice company could use that.  This is a very simple robot, but I wanted to do it because it was the series 2 lightweight champion.

This is the reason I was asking about rust a while ago.  This is Sump Thing, a grungy, rusty robot with a crooked axe as a weapon.  I put the discs on so that they turn with the burst motor.  Dig, the captain, was described as "A new-age roboteer striving to compete against the super-electronic forces of the future"  Again, that man plays with machines that could kill people.

EDIT: Credit to Sage for the rusty skins

It's perfect!  Thanks. :)

You're right that I can handle the extenders; I didn't realize they were BMP files.

Rusty texture? For which extender are you talking about, There is more than 5 of them.

Aluminum would be the best, I suppose.

Could someone make me a skin for the DSL extenders and discs (I mean the silver discs that come in variable sizes)?  Specifcally, I need a rusty texture, not unlike the one that the game provides in the bot lab; you could just use that if you want.  The point is, I really want to make a certain replica look more realistic, and have no idea how to use GIMP.

On another note, does anyone have a mod for the game that allows you an unlimited chain of attatchments?  That would help too.

Thanks.

It's the belt-drive motor from the Lu-Tze component pack.

I used the iron spikes just so that it would have real weapons.  I realize they're the wrong shape, but I liked how they look when they overlapped like that.

Here's my second attempt at Hard Cheese, there were several things I didn't like about my last one so I started from scratch.  As before, it's got a wedge shape, some spikes, and the rat on the front.  I used HP Z-Teks, so it's a real speed demon.

Monad, a robot with a pair of pincers, the first sideways crusher replica in my collection.  Its body was made out of a dog carrier cage.

I'm voted Red Sox because I'm from Boston area, but I don't really follow baseball. I find it boring.

Me too, but when the Red Sox start winning, I become inexplicably interested

Chatterbox / How did YOU come up with your name?

Mine is self-explanatory, it comes from Animal Crossing. Mr Resetti's first name is Sonny, and  not many people know that/care.

Try to make shinies larger then.

How do I do that?

Here's some more replicas:

Bumblebot, a robot with a hammer on a beltdrive motor.  Keeping faithful to its real life counterpart, the hammer is rather slow and heavy.  If anyone wants a project, I could really use a The Master-type wheel, because I think this wheel skin would look better on a convex wheel hub.

Imortalis, a very weird design.  It's got a plow in front and two jabbing spikes in back.  Other weird features include a barrel shaped body with spikes and a firefly tail at the back.

Thanks.  The problem with Lightning spikes is that there's no room on the side for baseplate extenders.  The Z-teks used for the wheels are pressed up against each other as is, and if I stretch the chassis any wider, its shape won't look right.

Also, if I include non-stock components, will I need to include a modified cfz file?

Is that Leisure Suit Larry?

Also, I bet there's Monkey Island in there somewhere even though I can't find it.

As long as we're on the subject of cheats, there's this project I've been working on for quite some time, it's a modification of a Bettlebros component.  It's a very powerful component that blows the competition out of the water.

It's finally complete, and I'm ready to share it with all of you.  You will need to download the Beetlebros components BEFORE you download this.

If you don't have the beetlebros' pack, download it here

It's not a custom component I made, it's the drum from the DSL pack.  I'll include the bot as is if you want it, but which files do I need to put in the pack to make the drum compatible?
