Doesn't the real Barberous have support poles sticking out in the front and back to stabilize it?  Might help with fighting capability.  Otherwise it looks great.

Barberous 1 had both support poles sticking out the back, and as such you couldn't see them in the photo I took.  I did include them, though.  Here's a photo of the back.

At any rate, here's some new replicas

Here's King B Powerworks, a robot with some lifting prongs.  I used a superflat chassis.  New video on my channel featuring this robot, check it out.

Bamm Bamm, a robot that's based off that Flintstones character.  It's got a hammer on a rotating turret (I replicated that too)

That's the bot- what a beauty! I was just looking at videos of it on Youtube and missed it. I'd hate to interrupt anybody's creative flow, if there might be a Cassius bot soon then I'd love to see it, but don't alter your plans on my account :)

Don't worry about it, my "list" doesn't actually have an order to it, it's more like a bunch of ides floating around, and I do whichever one seems appealing at the time.  At any rate, it's finished!

And here's the robot:
Extract this to your Robot Arena 2 folder
CAUTION: If you already have a robot named Cassius, rename it or this will overwrite it.

Any of these replicas good in battle? Also just want to say I think all your replicas are awesome!

Thanks!  As for battling, it's a mixed bag, but I try to make it so they can at least beat stock AI.  New replicas:

Barberous, a robot whose weapon is a spinning drum. It looks like a barber's pole, hence the name.  Had the potential to be destructive, but they made their drum out of plastic of all things, which interfered with any chance of success.

Roadblock, the champion of the first wars, made completely out of street signs.  Rather wide, and practically the only robot on Robot Wars to use a wedge to great effect.  It's featured in my newest Robot Arena 2 video (link to my channel is in my sig)

I'd really love to be able to use Rex Garrod's robots Cassius and Cassius 2... or even Cassius 3, if anyone's got the photographs of it which have since disappeared. My building skills aren't much, so I wondered if anybody else has made a tribute to it?

Thanks.

I was planning to do Cassius at some point.  If you really want, I could bump it up to the top of my list of projects.  Would a stock version be ok?

I just wish he'd actually sung it instead of lip synching.

Only one replica today, but I think it merits a solo appearance.

Possibly the weirdest design I've ever done, it's Psychosprout.  This robot was a ball with an R/C truck inside.  Sadly, this robot failed the gauntlet, so we never got to see it battle another robot. (Although you can probably guess how that fight would've gone.)  I've mounted it on the smallest body allowed, and I like let the ball break off and have other robots kick it around.

I see pictures of Beta, The Mauler, and Warhead.  Does that mean we can expect to see them in the competition?

Ok, so I'm having some major lag problems with Fraps.  Is there anything I can do to make the videos less laggy?

Wow at the robot being controlled with gloves lol. If thats the second coolest control i'd like to see the first...

Here is the coolest controller in all of Robot Wars.

The thing is so big it has to be strapped to Rob's shoulders and worn around his waist like an enormous belt. That's the biggest antenna I've ever seen, heck I've seen smaller ones on 1980's walkie-talkies.  It looks like some weird device out of a 70's movie that would be the source of much amusement on Mystery Science Theater 3000.

No, you misunderstand.  The problem is that under the "maps" folder, there's a map for the bottom of the cone, but nothing for the top and sides.  There's no bmp file that I can edit.

Wizard, a robot that's designed to look like a wizard hat.  Its weapon is a spike (would be a drill, but of course that goes all chicken-y)
There appears to be no jpg file for skinning the cone, so Wizard has an orange top.  If anyone knows how to skin the cone, it'd be cool.

Here's one I had a lot of fun with, it's a giant enemy Crushstacen, and you attack its weak point for massive damage.  It's got two sets of pincers for putting the squeeze on opponents.  The pincers were originally controlled using a pair of virtual reality gloves, the second coolest controller in Robot Wars.
Its claws are unfairly powerful, but so much fun to use.  Especially when you do things like this to your opponents.
