Doesn't CCleaner get rid of everything? I think I had to use it before and I'm pretty sure I had to back-up a few things.

It doesn't uninstall programs if that's what you mean. It does erase temporary files, cookies, unused non-essential files and stuff. You can customize what you want to erase with CCleaner though.

S.H.I.E.L.D, how old is your PC? If it's new (between 4-1 year or less) faulty hardware is most likely the problem. If it's older than that, old hardware will start to fail.
A good start is doing what Naryar said. There's a chance that it will also make your USB ports work again. If that doesn't work, backup everything and format your PC. If that doesn't work either, old or new your hardware is faulty.

Also I strongly recommend Malwarebytes to get rid of pesky trojans and malwares. Like 99% of other similar softwares, there's a free and premium versions but the free version actually allows you to use it, there's no trial period and it's good.

Pc was a hand me down from my uncle. We've had it for about 2 years, I dont know how long he used it though.

Another problem is flash, adobe flash won't automatically display some images and almost always requires me to do it myself. Even then, it constantly crashes and my plugin thingy says there's something wrong with it. I'm assuming I need to install a newer flash programme?

clean hard drive. run a few antiviruses, as well as Spybot-Search&Destroy and CCleaner (make sure to get the real ones and not fake software).

Also maybe a scandisk and a defrag.

About your new problem... I don't know, but maybe you can try using different USB ports ?

Do you have the drivers installed ?

I've tried all the usb ports.

my pc is not good

it crashes when i try and open more than one tab, it takes half an hour to start in the mornings, and my flash plugins keep crashing on me, when i turn it back on it just freezes the darn thing.

but, i've been able to live with it. sure, id like to get it fixed, but i'm not rich.

anyways, a new problem has emerged in the form of it not being able to identify any USB's save for the keyboard and mouse etc. but that might be because they've been plugged in there for the past 3 years and are practically fused with the darn thing.

it won't read my pendrive, nor will it identify my phone. it says it's there, in that it acknowledges it presence, but refuses to identify it or allow me to access it, simply stating that it exist, and nothing more.

help?

Discussion / Re: robot transformer ?
« on: January 03, 2015, 02:39:02 AM »
making walking robots, just walking ones mind you is a near impossible feat itself, transforming robots? not impossible, but its going to take maybe months of fine tuning and maybe a couple of mods to get around the size, rule of seven and weight limitations. and of course, the burst motors might have to be amped up in the case of the parts being too heavy.

of course, we haven't even taken into account the havok explosions and game crashes that could come from putting burst motors on burst motors

Discussion / Re: Backwards weapon
« on: December 30, 2014, 11:42:47 PM »
Well, it'd be kinda pointless

opponents very rarely ever go to the back, so, if you want a back weapon, I would suggest a saw or a spinner (ala Sergeant Bash or Matilda). a Hammer would require precise timing and have a little bit of delay where as a spinner would damage the opponent as soon as it touches the weapon.

all in all, backwards weapons aren't all that effective and I'd discourage you from building one, but if you want to build one anyway, a spinner would be the way to go.

However, if you want to build a hammer or a piston...

Use two smart zones.

this might work.

i suck at art

You can just open up the .tga files of the slot decal and put them over the old ones, that's what I do.

huh never thought about that

it was supposed to be really good at some point but then i accidentally forgot to resize the skin from 1024 back to 256 so the game wonked out and i got mad and i personally painted the polka dots which took forever and i just gave up

You don't need to resize skin back to 256, when you make a 1024x1024 skin you are supposed to leave it 1024x1024 so it leaves a clean crisp image  :dumb)

i did that but then when i tried to apply decals (Slot for the flipper), it doesn't show. so, idk.

Put the decal on the skin first, then export and edit it. You can paint your own slot over it.

i suck at art

plus, when you export your own skin 'stead of a template, you can't fill the lines because it looks wonky and just

skinning is hard

General Support / Re: Multibots?
« on: December 25, 2014, 12:01:40 AM »
Multi bots are when two bots have the combined weight of their opponent. They're usually built with the intention of flustering the enemy, since the Ai usually attacks the bot which most recently attacks it,

For example, say Bot A and C are a team, their opponent is Bot B. Bot A attacks Bot B, but then Bot C comes in and attacks Bot B, Bot B turns it's attention to Bot C, leaving Bot A free to attack again, and continue the cycle.

Now that you know how one works, let's see how they're built

for example, let's say there's a MW tourney

One could enter two 200KG bots, or maybe one 100KG bot and a 300KG bot. But it's more commonly two 200KG's.

the reason why is, the best combination for a Multibot is two VS', having one wedge and a HS won't work because the HS will hit the wedge/punching bag, flippers can't because they need both their flippers combined to flip their opponent. VS' or maybe drums have precise weapons with a small range, which reduces the chances of them hitting their own team, plus, it isn't mostly power orientated.

So, for the sake of being lazy, most builders opt to just have two of the same bot. However there are exceptions.

I really like it, but I think you should increase the resolution of the skin, else the text looks really pixelated.
That drum robot and teeth bot look pretty cool too.

it was supposed to be really good at some point but then i accidentally forgot to resize the skin from 1024 back to 256 so the game wonked out and i got mad and i personally painted the polka dots which took forever and i just gave up

i'll revamp it later

GOOD LUCK IN FIFTEEN TO ONE I THINK IT WILL GO ALL THE WAY

-dorito wheels
-mlg 1 plastic armor
-mtn dew for extra battery juice
-in faze clan
