Domanating, why are you being watched?

Because of those links I posted. It's my first punishment in this forum  :ermm:

mmm.... I think there was a rule I I forgot

I thought you guys were against piracy?

Like, kick me into jelly kind of against?

Maybe the forum isn't allowed to have pirated stuff in it but I'm pretty sure almost all the community pirates stuff.

Edit: it's kind of a weird rule but it supposedly keeps the forum safe from criticism or more serious problems even though knowing that everyone does a little of piracy. Even downloading RA2 for free is piracy, so yeah...

We can do that?

Everything is possible in the Internet. Recent softwares are only available if you buy them. But if you wait a couple of weeks or months, someone will post a pirate version of the software for free in popular download sites.

Also check out this site:

<Removed and user has been warned>

It's my main source of serials. You don't need to download anything. Just search the software you want and look under "serial" list. They just give you serial to copy/paste.  Don't trust the "downloads" list. Usually you'll get stuck with surveys or you need to pay or in worse case scenarios viruses. Not all serials work but so far I was not disappointed.

If you need to download software, then here are some very good sites. I would say 90% of their contents are safe to download.

If you specify the problem with Sony Vegas I might help you out solving it.

Yes! That's perfect! The triangle is the sturdiest shape and can hold massive loads.

It's even better like that, both in looks and IRLness

That's very nice.

I do have one final complaint, though, if I may.

Now that the front support extenders are longer, to allow those larger discs, I think they now look too flimsy and weak  to support that structure plus the torque of 2 high power motors. I think that it's just too much stress for IRL standards.

I suggest adding one additional extender for each support and create a triangle shape from the tip to the chassis.

I'm afraid I'll have to agree with the majority. Originality wins over usefulness. Also those wheels look like anything but wheels, honestly. They seem to fit better in contraption of cogwheels and chain wheels.

I like it as well but there's only one thing that bothers me. It's the first IRL bot I see that makes me say that it looks under-weaponed for a SHW

Small wedges are not in DSL 3

One of the main reasons why I prefer DSL 3 better

"I'm running out of ideas" my ass.

I really like those. It's the simplicity of your bots that really gets my attention.
However I think the first one would look cooler without the cage around it, but that's me.

IE rivaling Firefox? Hmm, I might just check it out...

It doesn't have that many features and add-on capabilities as Firefox but in terms of security and network speed it's definitely going somewhere.

what antivir program do you use?

It's Chinese. That's all I know.

Are you sure that anti-virus is not allowing virus instead of stopping them? A large amount of malwares will not only slow your PC down but will also affect the browsers a lot (personal experience).

Also IE has improved a lot lately. It can rival with Firefox.

Fair enough.

It's kind of funny because I didn't know robot wars existed until only about 2 years ago . More or less at the same time I joined GTM

Well it depends to where you are aiming for in life. I intend to go into robotics, so robots are a frequent thing in my mind.

If you are a Biology kind of guy for example (not saying you are), obviously you wouldn't be thinking on robots. You are here though, in GTM so there's an interest.

Sony Vegas is a very good and simple video/sound editing tool. I currently use version 8 although the latest is already 12.

You will find the full software of any version in any Torrent site.

If you're running out of ideas, go out. Venture more in the real world and then you'll see new ideas will pop from nowhere or from ridiculous sources.

These short stories are really stupid but done in a very smart way. Not everyone is capable of doing these. Brilliant stories, m8

[majorsarcasmmode] LOLOLOL this post shows why IRL lacks skill and is stoopid. A noob could clearly build that hunk of junk in 5 minutes. DSL-S FTW. [/majorsarcasmmode]
this has to be one of the most hilariously tryhard posts i have seen all week.

the robot does look nice though. did you make those stock ai replacements yourself?

Nope. I downloaded this AI pack from this guy:

https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=14071.0

It's better than the default AI of DSL 3.0 but nearly all bots crash the game. Only the 2 first HWs of the list work

:p Nah, j/k. As usual, you fail to disappoint. I'm absolutely stunned by this work of art. It's awesome and does indeed look like a severe ass-kicker. This is the best DSL3 robot I have seen in quite a while and uses a lot of the new components to good effect. I'd like to see some battleshots of this beast in action, if I hope you don't mind.

Sorry m8, but taking some decent battleshots is pretty tough and quite annoying for me to do. They never seem to show how things are really happening and the true effectiveness (or not) of a bot...

So I made a video instead!

Please note that DSL3 AI bots are pretty weak and stupid so it's a very illegitimate battle. Also, only the 1st two bots are the right weight to fight against:

I honored and can't thank you enough

Thank you all!

And now that my objective is complete I shall now leave GTM and never return, bye.

Get your butt back over here, foo.

Ok, ok I'm back

Here's Metal Shredder's little brother.
It's faster, more agile and equally effective (at least so it seems) but it cannot upright itself.
In some of the pics you can notice that the extender work doesn't look aligned with the axle of the saws but that's an illusion because there's a fairly big gap, which I couldn't effectively close due to rule of 7 and "blocked by other components"

Edit: I had the idea when I looked at the wedge of the SHW version. I thought "what if I put 2 discs in those gaps?". That's why the wedge is nearly unchanged.
