the thing with tyranitar is that its sets used to run assault vest or choice scarf
even with the spd and spe boost of 20 and 10 it has effectively lost 30 SpD or 20 Spe depending on the item it used to run
but don't forget that you could put that 30 atk boost to use with DRAGON DANCE AWWW YEAAAAAHHHHHH
that and with dragon dance it doesn't have to be locked into a single move via scarf

You could probably do 5-6 sets rather than 4 if you ditched the DDT+black for a Snapper2+Nifty (axle loaded nifty ofc). But yeah, you're on the right track.

Plot twists don't really make my heart stop, but props to the Bioshock series and KOTOR for at least making me pause my game to ponder over what just happened.
As for the heart-stopping stuff though, (since I don't play horror games) I could only think of one.
Bioshock Infinite. The one in the asylum. You know the one I'm talking about. I unloaded my whole carbine magazine against it and it wouldn't go away so I ran back to the start of the level in panic. :<

If you're really worried about the wedginess though, you could probably attach 2 stacked hex plates on the metal hinge, with the bottom one holding a plastic skirt and the other one holding the spike strips. But yeah, it looks too cool as is.

have you tried attaching the weapon setup to the visible arm of the middle snapper? gives you weight for 2 more casters if my math is correct

Something like a regular flipper but with weapons or teeth underneath so it's not completely helpless if it misses a flip.
Or you could do something wacky like a regular flipper with another burst (probably wedge bursts) that fire down to boost the flip.
