If typhoon had been flipped oota by bigger brother then storm II would have rightly won the u.k championship, robot wars would have been on for atleat another season and chaos 3 would have been made (maybe).

Just watching extreme on dave and remembered how dissapointed i was with cerberus and s.m.i.d.s.y.
They were both really cool designs that ended up achieving nothing  :frown:.

Any other cool robots you remember that just ended up sucking?

But as i said before, if panic attack had been made invertible :)
Besides chaos 2 has a high ground clearance at the back and the sides which is a major weakness to have against robots like p.a

the robot itself structurally was as strong as Storm 2 (not talking about armour obviously :P) really... fast drive and making it invertible (it was pretty flat and no self righting ability) and it could have been a pretty effective robot.

but they decided to go for the slow pushing robots..
Exactly, infact i think they could have won another championship if they had made P.A invertible, at the very least got to another final.

I mean that self righter was not very good and usually led to them being beaten by firestorm

Yeah i liked the look of it, especially the size of it.
It was even lower than P.A 3.
You never know, with a bit more lot more work that chasis could have been put to good use....

What happened and why was it gold?
Well in season 6 panic attack III was not used by the panic attack team (i believe it was sold but that may just be a rumour).
Instead they built a new version of panic attack that was obviously supposed to be an improvement.

However the robot was entered into season 6 completely untested (and probably unfinished).
It was Pathetically slow by any robots standard, especially panic attacks and just barely scraped through the very first round before getting knocked out by terrorhurtz i believe.

The robot was so rushed that they had run out of yellow paint while painting it so they used gold instead (thus why I dismissed it as the gold robot rather than panic attack 4 as it should be called).
Anyway they never used that gold monstrosity again and brought back panic attack 3 instead  :claping

BTW does anybody know what happened to the gold robot after season 6?

I know it probably is cooler as a complex spinner, but it really would fight better with a 6-mag or 2-Perm, no secondary eteks and more weapons.

But do as you wish.
Maybe the next spinner i make...

But for my first time building a spinner it's not bad and is very fun to use (mostly thanks to the very helpful advice i've got in this thread :approve:)

i think it would be good to keep the discs a bit low to the ground. just my opinion tho.
I would have but when one of the disks is removed it becomes more unstable and spinning up to full power makes it wobble.
If it were too low it would have damaged itself and perhaps even flipped it over.

Nice, but is there only a blackvolt battery?

If so then i think it's a bit underpowered.

I'd thought that panic attack had retired after that gold robot incident.

you mean when they were on that drug trip ? :P
Oh yep.
First time i saw it i thought it would actually be good.
It was lower, more compact and gold!!

Then i heard why it was gold...

And then i saw the battle...
i think it didn't deserve to even get as far as it did

Well it wasn't really designed to flip either.
It was designed to get under robots and lift and push them into hazards such as the pit of oblivion.

Where else in Robot Wars had there been a robot designed to grab and pit?
Well it was Panic Attacks main way of winning. And panic attack was always my favourite.

I can't remember tough as nails though, looking it up now.

Edit:Ah yes i remember that $#@+!%& now, I'd thought that panic attack had retired after that gold robot incident.
Then i saw the battle between it and TaN and got excited to see my favourite robot back in competition.
Atleast he was defeated with honour...
