I was just giving you some static, anyway. We both have good bots. It's just you built the better one to begin with.

I am trying to find a book called Super Stock Rookie by Will Weaver. It is the sequel to Saturday Night Dirt that I mentioned before. I have looked at various stores (everywhere from Wal-Mart to Barnes & Noble) and have come up nothing. I'm sure it can be ordered online but my family doesn't order much off the internet.

Off-Topic Discussion / Dirt Track Racing« on: July 23, 2009, 10:26:02 PM »
And how about, just for fun, telling us about some of your local tracks?
My local tracks (listed by race night): Friday nights: Callaway Raceway - Fulton, Missouri My home track. It is a high-banked 1/4 mile clay oval. www.callawayraceways.com Saturday nights 24 Raceway - Moberly, Missouri One of the oldest running tracks around central Missouri. It is a high-banked 1/2 mile dirt oval. www.24racewayinmoberly.com Lake Ozark Speedway - Eldon, Missouri Newest track within 100 miles of me. It is a semi-banked 1/4 mile dirt oval. www.lakeozarkspeedway.com Montgomery County Speedway - New Florence, Missouri AKA "Toilet Bowl" (in my opinion). It is a high-banked 3/8 mile (?) clay oval. www.themontgomerycountyspeedway.com Sunday nights: Quincy Raceways - Quincy, Illinois Oldest local track still in operation. It is a flat 1/8 mile dirt oval. www.quincyraceways.com Well that's most of my local tracks. So, what are yours? 4590

Off-Topic Discussion / Thread of Obongomobiles / 4-cylinders / etc. (?)« on: July 23, 2009, 02:18:08 AM »
I believe that 4-cylinder vehicles have their place... that place just happens to be a demolition derby or racetrack.
I say racetrack because my brother and I are currently in the process of building a 4-cylinder into a racecar for us to run in the hornet division at the local dirt track. ![]() ![]() ![]() It is a '93 Pontiac Sunbird. The only really bad thing is it's an automatic. I would have much rather had a manual Ford Pinto or an '80s Mustang but my brother was flipping the bill for the car and I didn't want to push my luck. So, in my opinion a four-banger is ok sometimes. 4596
