You could have a whole row of razors attached to the burst piston by using a t-connector with black extenders coming out of it. I'd ditch the stationary spikes completely to make room for this. 2 black batteries is plenty for 4 HP z-teks. Also, consider swapping the wheels for some that are big enough to make your bot invertible, perhaps the Slipperbottoms?

You could just reset his post count again. Now there's a reset that even I can endorse.

You can edit your robot's skin in a picture editing program like MS Paint. It's a lot easier than doing it all with the paint shop in Robot Arena.

You're definitely getting there, but on such a small robot, you'll want to use smaller versions of the parts. Here's some suggestions:
Use smaller wheels (I'd go with the rubber wheels as they're called), and move them further into the chassis so that part of the wheel is hidden.
For claws, use a cutting tooth attached to an extender; Sir K's claws will prevent your wheels from touching the ground. Also, make the lower claw static; if memory serves, only the upper claw moves on the real SGT. Bash.
Elevate the flamethrower just a little, the real Sgt Bash has its flamethrower raised a few inches above the base.

Sure, but I used a lot of custom conponents. You'll need to download Beetlebros, D1/D2, DarkRat and Lu-Tze
The flamethrower is stock, you can access it by naming your robot "cheatbot2" and then looking under Mechanics.

You guys inspired me to try my hand at making a Sgt. Bash replica. Here's how it looks: Strictly for display purposes, but I'll share it with anyone who wants.

Tough break for Australia. First they get overrun by cane toads, now this. But can't they just get the cane toads to eat them all? Or maybe the spiders could eat the cane toads, depending on the relative size?

One final thought: yes... arguing with Inf IS irrational... Thank you, and good night.

I'm pretty sure SR made on in SD's rep thread. Good memory. It was of an earlier version, without the front casters, but the idea was basically the same. I never figured out how to make the chassis spin, so I used those DSL drums instead; how do you make the chassis spin?

no it doesn't. take bill o'reilly. he's dominated prime time news for 101 months straight. that's not an example of "blowing". Too easy.

Here's a fad that I can't believe I didn't hear of till recently, the Literal Videos. Basically, taking a music video and changing the lyrics to reflect what's going on in the video. Here's my favorite one:

if you copy and paste it into google it changes your search to "??" :P Yeah, that's why I couldn't do research to figure out what it was.

I've been seeing this symbol floating around on the internet, and have no idea what it stands for. When I google it, it just comes out as 2 question marks.
I'm curious because if you make a post containing that symbol on the Facepunch forums, you get banned for a week. (I like to read the event log, it's like a soap opera)

Something else I've wondered: Is there a way to "collapse" points into one another when shaping the top panel? I ask because I want to be able to make wedge-shaped bots that go all the way up without that unattractive rectangular bit at the top.

Ok, I'll definitely give that a shot. Thanks

Is there a way that I can modify my game so that when I'm designing my bot's chassis, I never get the message "Can't move that point because it will ben one side too much" I can't for the life of me understand why they'd care if you bent one side too much.
Has anyone here ever made a patch for the game that gets rid of the "bend one side too much" restriction?

i just need to figure out what's a good amount of entries for this. if you think about it 10 entries with 4 challenges = 40 videos that's less entrants and more videos that is the one concern i have about the tournament.
good news, i still have all the robots featured in the video so i can use them as the challenges still. i don't wanna race into anything and it would be best to have it all organized before any talk of starting the tourney happens.. i just really like the idea. Maybe you could put all 5 trials of one robot into the same video.

Are you going to keep all the old components from the last version?

Looks real nice SR. Only thing is youneed to tweak it's firing angle so that it is pointing at the target when it fires... Did you use a Smart-Zone or servo-angle to trigger the weapon? I'm not sure, where would I look to find out?
