I use the arrow keys and spacebar; Z and X if my bot has multiple weapons.
I'm just not coordinated enough to have one hand doing both the weapons and the drive.

Is Robot wars in syndication anywhere?(on tv still)
If it is then I understand, disagree, but understand.
However I have not seen RW on TV for the longest time, all the youtube videos can do is bring interest back into the sport, making the dumb farts money. In the US, it used to be shown on TechTV, but when G4 merged with TechTV, they cancelled all tech programs in favor of video game programs. The good news is that media copyrights have a statutory limitation of 10 years, meaning that Robot Wars will officially become public domain in 2013 unless BBC or Mentorn starts selling DVDs before then.

Where is the BMP file for the 100 cm Disc? By which I mean, the one from DSL that looks like this:  If there is no BMP file that I can edit to reskin the disc, could someone do me a big favor and color it in the way I've indicated on the image on the right? It's for a replica; I'd be so, so grateful if anyone could help me out. Thanks in advance.

Just a question for you console enthusiasts. I'm heading off for college in 4 days, and I'm debating to buy a console to bring up. But between consoles there is alot of dis/advantages.
PS3 - Great console, VERY expensive for games/controllers and the console itself.
360 - I hear it's alright but never really liked how you had to pay for online play, and how would I if pay when I'm up at college.
Wii - My family owns one but I personally hate it due to the kiddie games. I hear there are a few good games such as House of the Dead and Cruisin'. I can only speak on behalf of the Wii, but here goes: I've found that while most of the Wii games are "kiddie" there are a few hidden gems. The Mario franchise games were, for the most part, incredible. I've never personally tried House of The Dead or Cruisin', but if you think they're good, you've got to trust your instinct. As a general rule, look for games where that don't use motion-sensitivity as their main selling point; that's a sign that they put more effort into gameplay than gimmicks. It goes without sayind that if a game allows you the option of using a Gamecube controller, always use the Gamecube controller. If you're into real high-def graphics, the Wii is not the system for you. All of the games have perfectly acceptable graphics, but they aren't as sharp as those of the other systems. In conclusion, the Wii is a good choice for casual gamers who don't mind seeing the same characters in all of their games. Get it if you're a Nintendo fan, and if you do, I recommend checking out the old Nintendo systems' game library, there's some good stuff there too.

a little bit of a bump but given that CC2 is drawing to a close I have more time on my hands and so I think we should start this up properly (that is if HA still wants to go ahead with it) as before I said I would gladly be the one to piece everything together but if anyone wants to contribute something then go for it... this will be a group like effort but I will plan to run things by HA as this was his initial idea
I like this idea.. someone getting a list together and then as people make the replicas (and post pics in here) we mark it off the list. getting all the replicas done will take time so that's why I think the earlier the better. Agreed. I think it should be in the first post of the thread, which is why I was asking Andrew to do it. Here are the ones I have, in case Andrew does decide to make the list: Jawbreaker's Revenge PSSSHT! Solar Flare Juggerbot 3.0 (Just a reskinned Tricerabot with some decorative bits gone)

Trouble and Strife.  Solar Flare. This one's a Robotica bot with DSL only, so if anyone's still working on the pack, they can add this one to it.  I don't know how they got away with having a flamethrower

R1885... Cheap and robot building DO go together! Come on now, you don't really believe he built that robot from scratch for less than the cost of a candybar, do you? He just scavenged most of the parts from Robodoc, his old bot, which incidentally, cost him 1000 pounds.
