Off-Topic Discussion / 2010 Daytona 500
« on: February 11, 2010, 06:59:25 PM »
I'm not sure how many, if any, people here follow NASCAR, but whatever.

What are your predictions for this year's Daytona 500?

I personally don't have a clue, but I feel that Tony Stewart and Mark Martin both have a good chance at winning.

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Funny Movie Scenes!

I don't have the scene, but I have the quote. Some of you will figure it out.

Billy: "What day is it?"

Drunk guy: "Um... October?"

Billy: "It's nudie magazine day!"

Off-Topic Discussion / "Tune Up" Software Review
« on: February 10, 2010, 02:14:33 AM »
I don't know if anyone else has seen the advertisement on TV for Tune Up, the thing that is supposed to clean up your iTunes library, but I am going to write a review on it.

First off, its is not a free program, but there is a free trial version available that allows you to "clean" up to 100 songs in your library and download cover art for up to 50 albums.

The software did not work as expected at all.

The TV advertisement depicts Tune Up "cleaning" song with names such as "Track 01" "Track 02", etc, but I found that it couldn't do this as well as it was depicted. I had several songs that had no album names and I wanted it to find the album names and fill it in for me, but it couldn't do it.

As far as cover art goes, it may have worked, but apparently their system doesn't cater to those of us without a DSL connection. I was left with several album covers that were only partially there.

I do not recommend using Tune Up, as it is far easier to find the information and and cover art on Google.

Anyone still interested in trying it for yourself can download it here:

Existing Games / Anyone a Classic Video Game Collector?
« on: February 05, 2010, 03:25:10 PM »
Anyone else enjoy collecting the classic video games? You know for systems such as Atari 2600, NES, SNES, or any other pre-PS2 system?

I find much enjoyment in it. Hunting for the older games is half the fun. The feeling I get when I find some gaming goodies at a flea market or a thrift shop just makes me feel good.

Bump for a cause...

As a video game collector, I would just like to say...

Buy the physical copies! They're much more fun on the platform which they were intended!

I could have sworn LRA2 was banned. Yet somehow, he has been reincarnated as Avalanche... Strange.

[rant=birthday]

No one here wished me a happy birthday on October 30th... It wouldn't have bothered me, but then I noticed SSG's birthday thread for the 31st.

It's ok, though... I just thought I might have been a little bit more appreciated around here.

That's cool, but it looks like the RA2 questions kind of irritated him.

I'm more of a sprinter. And really when compared to anyone else, I'm not that fast... until you consider the fact that I weigh 260 lbs. I can go 50 yards or so but after that, I slow down severely.
