ohhh.
maybe you can use one to get the other. like chop wood w/ the machete and then sell it to get the headset.

Sad to say, that is the best argument we've heard on this thread

Hmmm... I'm undecided.

The head set is only good if everybody has one, I believe.

As for the machete, I don't know.  Its not like you can carry it around or anything.  Maybe its like a disco ball or a lava lamp- It looks awesome in the store, but once you buy it, its not so hot.

Good point.  If you get bored, you'll start thinking of "creative" uses for your purchase.  When that happens, it'll probably be better if you have the headset than the machete.

Can we use components specifically made for a certain replica?  Like, if I wanted tomake a Kig B replica, and I noticed that Pussycat's blade looks a lot like King B's blade, could I use it?

Inf can be a bit more... honest than most when he sees a robot he doesn't like.  It rubs some people the wrong way.

If you mean the blue rammer from UK Robot Wars that competed in every series but always failed, then yes, that's velocirippa.

But for all I know, there could've been another combat robot called "Velociraptor" that I hadn't heard of.  THat's why I asked.

You probably should ban custom components altogether, because the replica of Gravity much more than hypothetical:

What about a replica of Gravity?  I could make the case that if it DIDN'T toss other robots 10 feet into the air, it wouldn't be accurate.

What kinds of custom components are allowed?  I'm worried that my replica of Gravity will be so powerful that it'll be unfair.

Just a quick question for the people who are knowledgeable about AI:

Would it be possible to use Philetbabe's S.O.W (Servo Oriented Weapons) AI to operate the "lance" when the bot charges?

I haven't actually tried that, but it seems like it'd be somewhat underpowered; the swinging motion of the burst motor puts adds some extra force to the weapon that you don't get with a static or slow-moving weapon.

Still don't let me squelch your creativity, if you think you know a way to do it, then go for it; you'll have one of the most creative entries if you can pull it off.

Can I enter multiple times if there are free spaces  And who gets to be the judge of how accurate a replica is; surely there must be some guide to how accurate the have to be to qualify?

And are you going to do the AI'ing, or are we responbisle for doing it ourselves?

Has anyone else found that when they take screenshots, they come out looking a little bit "compressed," and they have to be stretched a little to make them look the way you wanted?  Is there any way to get around this?

Ah, now it makes sense.  I thought that as long as the pic was less than 200px, I could include a reasonable amount of text in addition.  Well, it's fixed now.

The link to my youtube channel isn't showing up in my sig.  It's supposed to be right under the picture, and it looks fine when I preview it, but every time I make a post, it's not there.

Can anyone help?
