I'm literally kicking myself now. A few weeks ago I was about to post a comment stating to make a backup but I decided not to, incase it sounded too stuck-up. Now this has happened.

3 days late, but Articulator is like this tournament's BB Decimator. It took a hell of a beating in both matches yet was able to survive into the top 8. Giant Screw anyone?

Yeah, 4 for me aswell. Flywheels were uncommon in S3 and it wasn't until Hypno-Disc when the design become more widespread.

Well, I made a 14-wheeled SHW in the past after stretching the chassis length to as far as it would go, and using Micro Wheels on the T64 motors. However, using larger wheels on a smaller chassis is quite a push, which probably explains why Nar's New Cruelty rep from a few years ago only had 6 wheels.

Between May and now, you didn't even know!?
TBH didn't really notice it, and even if I did I forgot by now.

How many robots go through to the next round? If it's 1 out of 3 then I don't like my chances. If it's 2 out of 3 then I should be fine. DD2.0 tore me apart at BB7 and Robot's arm is just the right length to go over my frontal shield and rip into me. If I get flipped, it's over. I'm optimistic and it's not the worst draw I could've had, but my luck always seems to run out in these competitions.

I should know, we used to get these types all the time on less protected forums. The link in the signature was the red flag for me though.

So we have IRL tournaments already, but what about an even more realistic tournament that mimics real life competitions? I can't be the only one that gets fed up seeing a robot get the crap beaten out of it in a semi-final match and only beat its opponent on a technicality, then go on to dominate the grand final seemingly unscathed from its previous fight. If your robot takes a lot of damage, then expect it to continue damaged with minor repairs in later stages. Same goes for the arena. If someone breaks a pulverizer or a killsaw, then it won't be functional for the next couple of matches. As saws, hammers, and other things pound on the arena floor, dents and scratches will start to appear on the surface.
I could do this, only problem is I suck balls at AI'ing and as it stands, nobody wants another IRL competition until 2015 at the earliest.

Pretty sure it would look better without the robotic walking frame.

Since the rules actually state "You can ask for NO HELP, BOTS, or MONEY from the members!", it's assumed before and after. Yeah, the rules really need updating. At least give us some MORE info, c'mon!
So, let me get this straight. If I was to say, create a display tournament, which in itself is basically a fictional tournament made for the sake of fun, that, say for example, pitted Scrap Daddys, Virus Bombs, and Massimos bots together and the only thing that came out of it were videos and splashes, I wouldn't be allowed to do it? Geez, if I wanted ridiculously strict ownership rules over addons, I'd go back to the forum I came from. Anyway, brilliant as usual Maz. Do the front forks lift too or is it just the srimech?

And I thought all this time the top 6 got to pick their heat? Also, I'm pretty sure I put down a while ago I would like to enter all the side competitions.

Does the AI know how to work it properly?
Also if I knew how to AI, I would display tournament the crap out of all these robots.
What do you think Im trying to do
Have me build robots for you, judging by your PMs. :P
No, I'm not that evil :P just like them and want to use them in a display tournament :)
If you mean you want to use Maz's bots in a display tournament, it's against the rules.
I thought you were only not allowed to request bots after you announce the competition. I'm pretty sure any robot you have in your Robot Designs folder, built by another person or not, could be used in a display tournament.

Nice splashes, definitely more professional than last time around. I hope I can enjoy this competition much more too.
